Well this isn't Minnesota and the last thing we want is more nonsense laws being enforced that are there just to generate money. If you like it so much why don't you ask the dnr over there if you can have two plates for your fourwheelers and I'll give you mine. Besides I'm sure when this law came into effect in Minnesota their were allot of unhappy people that were complaining. It's are turn now!
Here's another funny for you; The USFS in the U.P. now bans ATV's from most(maybe all) gravel 'service' type roads. These are roads that only see one vehicle(truck or car) every 30 min in the off season, no more than twice that during hunting season. I talked to them last year about this, he said his hands were tied & I could write a letter to D.C headquarters.
The exact location I refer to is due north of Sidnaw, MI. This is at a time when the Sate of MI finally came around and allows ATVs on the edges of county roads to get to the woods.
What the DNR told Me on their information line was WRONG AGAIN!
Got My renewal notice yesterday. Fee is the same as last year-$30 for a full 2 years. Looks like there WILL be a prorated rate when they switch the expiration date from 6/30 to 3/31. ($26.25)
Don't be late or there will be a extra $5 fee.
At some point You will be paying $30 for two years of registration but since they are changing the expiration date to March 31 You will only get 21 months. I asked the DNR if the rate would be pro-rated for that year but She said that "it was still two seasons so the rate would be the same". I realize it's only a couple bucks but it's the principle of the thing.
