Fall fishing is here and in full effect. Kings are being caught in 20-40 foot of water from the harbor north to the piegon river. Silver Horde plugs in multiples colors on slide divers and high downriggers are producing while michigan stinger stingray spoons on deep riggers and inside divers are good. I was out last night with the kids and my wife for a couple of hours fishing was good as we boated 5 4yr olds and a nice 12 pnd rainbow. Stop in at Anglers Avenue to take a looka t whats working on our fishing hot board.

What a difference a few days make. Now we have the option of good fishing out deep or working the gap area for the larger fall Salmon. Today myself, first mate Russell Gahagan and host Dan Small of Outdoor Wisconsin decided to fish close and it payed off for us! All of my boats did well while catching fish on Silver Horde plugs, Stinger spoons, Fastrac Rebels and Dave's Ka-Booms. Good luck fishing!

Fished the gap this morning with my buddy George. We planned on fishing deep, but saw 4 dumper boats plus a few others in the gap plus we marked fish. The surface temp was around 55, 48 20ft down. We only boated 1 and had 2 other hits but saw the other guys catch several. Waves had to be 4ft. amazing how it's cooled off.

Fishing actually remains to be pretty good out of Sheboygan. Most people this time of year are thinking it should be harbor time but there's great fishing offshore. There needs to be cooler water and river flow entering the lake to get a mass number of these fish to stage up. The fish out deep have been caught on an east west pattern from 120-260. There is a mixed bag and size of the fish being taken. Most of our rods are fishing the top 80 with a few flys and a lot of spoons in both standards and magnums. Pro kings in cracked ice and green/silvers have been good. Also a mix of Pro Troll flashers with white blanks working on the wire dipsys and 200-300 foot coppers. Don't be afraid to run one downrigger down in the 100-140 range if fishing is slow. Slider rigs on the downriggers have also been very productive.

Good luck fishing!

This morning (Sunday) I left two fillet knives and a box of freezer bags on the bench at the cleaning station near the boat launch.

If anybody sees fit to return them to me I would find a way to show that I appreciate it.

We fished 140-270 FOW and went 14 for 27. Better kings 60-80 down on riggers and 250 back on wire divers. Smaller 1 & 2 year old kings and rainbows 30' down on sliders, lead and mono divers. No real color pattern but spoons were best for numbers and White blade, Mtn Dew 10" Spin Doctor with Siggs Riggs Green Hypnotist fly took 3 good kings.

Went to the same area in the evening and the fish had moved. We ended with 4 kings and 2 rainbows in 140FOW. One of the kings went 20lbs, another 19lbs. Both big kings hit the same 10" Spin Doctor above.

Tipup...you would have more luck by watching the Sheboygan Pier reports section when it comes to knowing what is going on from the piers. Just search on "Sheboygan"

Tip Up-

Watch the reports it should start to happen in the next couple weeks. All we really need is a good rain to push some river water into the lake. Fish are already starting to stage up in the 40 to 80 foot range.

tough morning today fished 430 to 10 and only managed 4. started out in 180 and worked out to 220 before the wind took over headed back in to 4 feet to manage with the 20+ sw wind. picked up 3 in 200-210 right away on slide divers set 100 feet and 120-180 feet back on 4. white dodgers produced as well as small stinger spoons. omly managed one four year old caught in 35 ft last minute on the way in on a silver and green stiped jplug. most of the guys coming in today had none or maybe one. tough weather but the temp did drop to 65 around 180 Smile which might be a good thing. 4 year old female weighed only 11 lbs full of eggs. sad. tight lines and good luck. cant wait til they start heating up

We had a good day fishing yesterday. After the last three skunks. Got on the water 7:30am and fished till 5:30pm. 6 out of 8 and two drive bys. Nothing till after noon of course that is when we got to 280 fow. We had all of our best fishing between 280-304 fow. Our best plug was a Brad's cut plug in Rainbow color 230 feet back on a dipsy and that brought in four fish. All the fish were nothing to write home about just good eaters.

Fishing is very good off the port of Sheboygan for a good variety of Trout and Salmon. The larger Kings are coming in water depths of 120 to 180 feet of water while Rainbows and Cohos are being caught in water depths of 220 to 300 feet of water. We have found that an east/west trolling pattern works the best because you can cover all of these depths in only a few miles of trolling. Surface water temperature is a warm 72 degrees but readings are a perfect 55 degrees down 60 feet. Flasher fly combinations are doing well 50 to 90 feet down on the copper rods, magnum dipsys and the downriggers for the Kings. Stinger spoons are catching the Rainbows and Cohos on the slide divers and leadcore rods. Next week we will be filming another Outdoor Wisconsin television fishing show aboard Dumper Dan Charters here in Sheboygan with host Dan Small. Take advantage of the good weather and good luck fishing! See pictures of what we are catching on my fishing reports board.

haven't been all that many people out, because the water temps are so warm. fishing station dry when I go by most times. Radio quiet in the evenings when I eves drop. nobody catching much, or you would see posts...that would say something like "fishing has been great for the last week with good numbers of salmon being caught, check out my website at..." and there would be a photo of a few fish and some people smiling. Wink

that said. i am trying tonight...for my weekly reminder that i am not that good of a LM fisherman. but only have one skunk this year...
