Anybody who hits the North end this weekend please post an ice report - I can't make it up until the 19th and would greatly appreciate an ice thickness update after this weekend.

thanks TS Cool

i don't know navigator. i think at least when ice fishing a guy can only fish three small 8 inch holes at a time so if someone wants to fish near me i'm not gonna get upset. and for that matter how can another person tell which holes were drilled by you and which were by someone else. i think in a boat there are a different set of rules but on hard water i would say as long as a guy doesn't drop one within 10 of 15 feet of your actual location then he's well within his rights. now if a guy sits in his truck watches you drill your holes, start catching fish and then comes and fishes your holes, i would say you have a gripe. these are just my thoughts and if you see me out and i accidentally put a rod in your hole just let me know and i'll reel it up for ya.

Would like to get out for 1 last weekend of ice fishing. I see the ice on Big Arb is still 2ft. Has anyone heard if there is still safe ice on the Turtle Flambeau? Any reports if the perch are biting and what areas I might try? Would appreciate any info.

Thank you!

Ice Depth: 24"     Conditions: Sunny     Air Temp: 41° - 45° F

Fished the north bay in 27- 30 fow. I think it was out front of buckhorn lodge. Perch were suspended at 20 fow. Caught a limit of 10"-11.5"perch. Had to drill about 40 holes to stay with the school. plastics w/wo wigglers worked the best. Some on tip downs w/crappie minnows.

Is it me or is it just plain rude to sit in your truck and watch, then get out and fish my holes, sometime just 10 ft away from me.? Granted I don't own the lake. but at least wait until I leave.

hey muskyqueen, The crappie fishing is good! The perch are still hitting wigglers! I was catchin the jumbos on crappie minnows and jig. The south landing is better than north but if You know where slos is that would be your best bet.

Coming up for the weekend. How is the crappie fishing? Perch with wigglers working yet? Is it the North or south shore landing that is better?
