FYI I looked at the regs. after I posted my previous post. White bass are not considered rough fish although they do not have a bag or length limit. Rough fish can be returned back to the water and It is illegal to leave them on the bank, they are supposed to be disposed of properly. As I kid I used to take carp home and bury them in the garden... Ma was happy to get the fertilizer.

Went out before dark and got skunked at Burnt Village. Wife caught a 24" northern on the first cast. Kiss

I saw that somebody had burned fish on a camp fire because the bones were left. I saw a dead white bass and a sheep head laying next to it. That's DISTURBING! The white bass should be thrown back, enough people eat them to keep the population down. The carp and sheep head don't bother me as much, but it does when they are left on the bank and stink up the place. Puke

Went out for a few hours trying for cats. No luck with the cats but did manage to catch 3 carp, 2 sheaps head, and a bullhead. All were with crawlers, no bites on minnows.

Was out last Sunday late evening throwing bucktails and spoon buzz bait with no luck. Caught a few white bass with a Wolf River Rig and had several other bites and misses.

"Now for the rest of the story" I heard a fish jump across the river and asked Whitewater Jake if it was a carp. "No looked like a walleye or something that wants to eat my 'bait'." After about 5 casts "fish on"! Nice walleye, I never seen anything like that before, walleye that big in the Bark this late in summer. I usually only see the bed wetters in the river after spawn.

Nice job! and watch out for critter holes on the river bank, I hear they can be hazardous.

Went out today at noonish. Son caught a 10" walleye and I got skunked. I was throwing spinnerbaits and bucktails to no avail. Last Sunday caught this 30" + northern at the same spot.

Have never fished the river... I live about 3 mins from the village park. How do you fish out there? Floating jigs and crawlers? Any help would be great. Wouldn't mind getting out of the house.

Went to the bark river over the weekend,I and a friend got 32 white bass and one crappie really had to work for them they were very spotty and spread out, the water is still very high and there is a no wake posting at the lunch, when we were leaving one guy came in with wife and daughter and took of like he was racing with no respect for rulings, also there was a guy that put his trailer right in front of the lunch making it harder for other people to get in and out again somebody without commonsense.

good luck everybody.

I have just been fishing Burnt Village from shore so far this year. I will try Prince's Point pretty soon. Both of these spots are public access near Cold Spring.
