About Me...I am a Experienced licensed fishing & hunting guide with 30 years guiding experience in the Hayward Lakes region of Northern Wisconsin. I have been a member of the Hayward Guide Service since 1977. When not guiding you can find me bow hunting ,trapping or on the water with my family. I promote the Hayward Lakes area, and have been highlighted on Midwest Outdoors, WEAU 13 and a few magazine fishing articles- but its not my personality to pursue any exposure or sponsorships unless they promote Hayward Wisconsin. I consider myself an older style traditional fishing and hunting guide focusing on sharing techniques, catching fish, sharing seasonal locations, lake history and mostly having fun on the water. You are welcome to bring your GPS, my fish locations and secrets are yours!
Multi Species Guide: SPECIALIZING IN WALLEYE. Also guiding for Musky, Crappie & Small Mouth Bass. Walleye trips- My walleye trips take place on both dark Stained lakes as well as our clear deep lakes. Depending on the time of year, we could be throwing crank baits on the shoreline, or fishing live bait in deep water. I also enjoy teaching clients how to fish weeds with both live bait and artificial plastics. My trips are based on what lake is hot, what lake the customer wants to learn or if the customer is up to it- multi Lakes in the same day. Evening trips during prime time conditions are also available. Smallmouth Bass- I fish several lakes with trophy Small mouth potential. Fish in the 18-21 inch are common and can usually be found on a daily occurrence. The Hayward lakes area offers some of the best Smallmouth fishing in the Midwest. A combo trip can be arranged to include this great sport fish.
Pan fish- I can show you both deep and shallow water techniques to catch our slab sized Crappies as well as large gills- this can be arranged as a targeted species or in combination with Walleye or bass. Northern Pike- The Hayward area offers both numbers and trophy potential for Northern Pike. While Walleye fishing or bass fishing these fish offer a great opportunity whether they are incidental or specifically targeted. Musky Fishing- I have musky fished in the Hayward area since 1974 and have caught several large musky up to 50 inches over the years. We can target trophy fish or just break the ice on a legal musky on a numbers lake. A combo Walleye/musky trip can also be arranged. Full days work out the best for combo trips.
