Welcome to the Premier Wisconsin River-Wisconsin Dells Guided Fishing Service!

I'm Nick Olson & I am the owner & founder of Reel Good Guide Service. Reel Good Guide Service is arguably the most popular, sought after Wisconsin Dells Fishing Guide Service. We break ice in Late Feb every year and continue to guide clients on the river through December. Although we often launch and target the Dells stretch, we commonly fish from Petenwell Dam to the Sauk Dam. Reel Good Guide service has been featured many times on the popular outdoor television show - Northland Adventures with Dave Carlson. We have been covered many times in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel with Paul Smith, as well as featured in articles right here on Lake-link by author Ted Peck! Description of Species & best bites on the River to help you plan your trip.

Walleye-Sauger : nearly 10 months of famous walleye fishing on the river!

• Late Feb typically into mid March- pre-spawn. Good to be back out, good numbers!
• Late March-early April - spawning walleyes. Water temps 42-49 degrees. Bonus night trips for giant females available at this time.
• Mid April-mid May - post spawn bite, which is typically very hot!
• May-Sept - summer patterns. Still many good keeper size fish to be had.
• Oct-Dec - staging returning feeding fish. Many saugers at this time.

Smallmouth Bass:8 months of bronze-back bruisers out on the river!

• April-May - Pre spawn thru post spawning bite. Lots of big fish during these months!
• June-Aug - summer feeding binge. Swarms of smallmouth hitting topwater lures like crazy!
• Sept-Nov - fall feed bag.

Crappie:buckets of slab 11-13 inch river crappies every season!

• May-Sept - incredible crappie fishing to be had on the river!

Northern Pike:

• Pike available from March-Nov. Best time for a trophy in my opinion is during the heat of the summer however.

Sturgeon:Open season during September. 50 inch plus fish very common. 60+ inch possible!

• 4 hour trip - $225
• 6 hour trip - $275
• 9 hour trip - $325

*These rates are based with 1 or 2 anglers in mind. Each additional angler is $50. Call for group rate pricing involving multiple guides and boats.

We commonly guide the Lake Redstone, Castle Rock, Dutch Hollow area during the winter months for crappie, bluegill & perch. I work with and help represent the JandS Custom Plastics and Freedom Baitz Plastics which we demonstrate and utilize on all of our Ice guided trips.
