Here at Kinn's Sport Fishing we are a Full-Time Charter Service, operating 7 days a week. Our fleet consists of 10 large, well equipped boats ranging from 32’ to 38’ in length. While charter boats under 32’ in length will occasionally catch fish, they typically can’t run the same type of trolling spread that you can on a larger charter boat. A larger boat will assure a more enjoyable experience!

Our season begins in April from Winthrop Harbor, IL where we target both Coho Salmon and Steelhead. Our summer fishing begins in late May from Algoma, WI (Our home port near Door County). According to Wisconsin DNR records, Algoma was once again the #1 port in Wisconsin for both King Salmon and Steelhead. These numbers are available through wdnr website. Your time on the water is important, so if you are going to fish you might as well go with the best!

We are unique in that we both own and operate 10 Luxury Lakefront Condominiums. They are completely furnished for your exclusive use, and have all the amenities to enhance your Lake Michigan Fishing trip!

Our entire staff is fully trained, licensed and insured. They have the tools and incentive to assure that you experience a successful trip!

Coho, Steelhead, Brown Trout, Lake Trout World Class Coho Salmon and Steelhead fishing.

Starting in April as warming temperatures begin on Lake Michigan’s western shores. Large numbers of Cohos and Steelhead begin on the hunt for huge schools alewives. This is clearly the best time of year, if catching lots of salmon is up your alley! We offer “Guaranteed Limit” packages available through May. You will have to book early if “Catching Limits” of Coho and Steelhead are what you want. In addition to fun, these are the best eating fish of the season!

Algoma, WI - The Finest in Summer/Fall Salmon & Trout Fishing!

May 20th - July 15
This is one of our most consistent fishing periods of the season. This is an excellent time for all types and sizes of Salmon and Trout. We see large King Salmon in addition to excellent mixed bag catches!

July 16th - August 31
Some of the “Best” in Hardcore Line Screaming King Salmon Action! The Chinook Salmon have grown a little larger and by the end of August are getting ready to enter the streams to spawn. We continue to experience excellent catches of Chinook Salmon and Brown Trout in addition to the ever popular Steelhead fishing.

Lake Michigan is without question a place where Size does matter. Although the boat may not be as important as the crew, it will have a major impact on your Lake Michigan salmon and trout fishing experience. The size and layout of the charter fishng boat chosen will help you achieve the comfort level you expect.

Although Lake Michigan charter fishing boats under 32 feet can catch fish, and small fishing groups of 4 or less may have enough room, they tend to be significantly less stable and comfortable.

Larger Boats, with twin engines are considered best for Lake Michigan fishing charters when taking into account all aspects of your trip. All of our charter boats have enclosed salons, large bathrooms and ample room in the back where it counts the most.

They are tournament rigged with radar, GPS, and the latest in marine electronics and Lake Michigan salmon and trout fishing equipment.
