The Boat Doc, LLC is the newest venture of Josh Wiesner, a Campbellsport native and ten year veteran of the marine industry. Josh is an avid outdoorsman and mechanic and decided to combine two of his biggest passions into the dream career of owning and operating his own boat dealership.

Josh graduated with high honors from the Marine Power Distribution program at Eau Claire Technical College (EWTC) and went straight to a Mercury Marine service school in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. After graduating Josh took a position with a Fond du Lac-area marine dealership and quickly worked his way up to lead technician. During this time he became familiar with Mercury, Mariner, and MerCruiser engines.

After working as an engine technician for four years Josh took a position at Mercury Marine's headquarters in their Dealer Technical Service Department. In this position Josh was responsible for trouble shooting a wide-range of engine questions from authorized Mercury dealers across the country. Josh found this to be a very challenging but rewarding experience as the questions he faced related to over forty years of Mercury Marine products.

While at Mercury Marine Josh built on his knowledge of Mercury and Mariner products and ultimately completed his master certification in Mercury outboards, the highest technical certification a Mercury technician can achieve. The Mercury master certification is awarded to those who demonstrate outstanding performance and professionalism in providing the highest standards of service.

Josh spent four years in the Mercury Dealer Technical Service Department before deciding to realize his dream of opening his own boat dealership. After securing a great location for his dealership, a great line of boats to sell, along with the Mercury certification he already possessed, Josh decided it was time to offer the boaters of Central Wisconsin a new and exciting option for boat and engine sales and service.

Services
Warranty Work: We aim to fix your engine right the first time, whether you purchased it from us or not. We feel we have the best training available on new product and also have the latest in diagnosing tools for all Mercury engines. If it's parts you need we can usually get them the next day!

Out-of-Warranty Work: Diagnosing your engine problem quickly saves you labor costs. Some dealers "throw parts" at engines to try to fix them. We feel this is a hit or miss approach that ends up costing you more money. We figure out the problem and get your approval before changing any parts.

Tune ups: Sometimes an engine goes out of adjustment or just doesn't give you the type of performance it used to. Bring it in and we will have it running like new in no time! We have a test pond for running and testing engines to better diagnose running issues. Why? Because it simulates actual running conditions, unlike a garden hose flushing attachment that other dealers use!

Service Calls: No trailer for your boat? No problem for The Boat Doc! Call us and we will set up an appointment to come to you! We can fix some engine issues on the water where your boat is docked or in your driveway.

Winterization: In Wisconsin your boat may be in storage for over half the year and with today's poor quality fuels winterization has become more important than ever. We know the latest techniques to keep your engine running at its peak performance. We winterize all Mercury and Mariner outboards as well as MerCruiser sterndrive engines. We are so confident in our winterization process that we guarantee your engine will start in the spring! There is no need for a de-winterization process when you come to The Boat Doc!

Shrink Wrap: No longer does your boat have to take up space in your garage over winter. You have the option to shrink wrap it! Shrink wrap is a durable plastic that is heated to form fit your boat and protect it from rain, snow, and UV rays. We will shrink wrap your boat to provide top notch protection from the elements. So put your boat outside and save on inside storage fees!

Storage: The Boat Doc has limited storage available in our outdoor fenced in lot. Ask us about our winterization, shrink wrap, and storage discount!
