Captain Matt Raley is a full time professional hunting and fishing guide located in North Central Wisconsin around the cities of Minocqua, St. Germain, and Eagle River during the Wisconsin fishing season.
Matt has been fishing since he could hold a pole in his hand. He was given a rod with a washer on the end so he wouldn't hook himself, but he would sit on the dock and hope to catch a fish for hours. Eventually he was upgraded to a real hook where he could start catching fish. At the age of 12 he started fishing on a regular basis, and at the age of 17 he bought his first boat. From there things kept growning along with upgrading boats on several occassions. Now matt runs a 17' lund. During the summer of 2006 and 2007 Matt spent the summers leading guide trips in Marinette county at a fishing club where he completed over 100 successful guide trips. After that Matt ventured out on his own and has been guiding ever since. Matt is well known for his hunting abilities, and wanted to get his fishing skills out to the public so he and one of his fishing partners decided to start a production company and film their muskie fishing adventures. During the 2009 season Matt will continue filming a new video or two, guide and fish in the Wisconsin Musky Tour tournament series throughout Wisconsin.
Fishing in Northern Wisconsin is a great place to fish with a different lake just around the corner. Capt. Matt guides on over 30 lakes in Oneida, Forest, and Vilas counties. Around the cities of Eagle River, St. Germain, and Minocqua. From a fun family outing to an intense trophy hunt. Fishing will be conducted out of 520 Ranger Commanche with the latest electronics and fishing equipment. Capt. Matt is an experienced guide, seminar speaker, and tournament fisherman. Matt can handle any persons fishing abilities and experience and still catch fish. One of the biggest aspects of a good fishing guide is to be able to adapt to everyones ability and consistently catch fish. All fishing equipment and bait will be provided. Capt. Matt will make every effort to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time on the water. The knowledge that you can learn in just a few hours fishing with Capt. Matt can be worth years of fishing on your own. If you have a large party multiple guides can easily be arranged. Hideaway Hollow Outfitters, LLC is fully licensed and insured.

I have trips designed for numbers or for trophy potential for both largemouth and smallmouth bass, and eater walleyes. These trips are great for all ages and angling abilities. These are usually high action trips with many fish caught. For walleyes these trips are designed for those who want fish for the frying pan. Different presentations such as live and artifical lures will be used. One of the most under pressured fish in northern Wisconsin are the great opportunities for both largemouth and smallmouth bass.
