Brown fisherman are especially secretive. The best spot is the willow tree, but they cut the tree down so it sucks now.

Can anyone give me some info on where/how to fish browns here? I am bringing my family up for easter and wanted to throw in some tip ups Saturday morning. How far out do I have to go from the marina? Is it walkable? Thanks for any info

On November 10th I fished Egg harbor in the morning and afternoon. In morning we went 2 for 2. Both were browns on black and silver jointed rebel fastracs caught in 8-10' of water. In the afternoon we went 2 for 3. Two hits on a rebel fastrac(black and silver again) and one hit on a rapala j-9 jointed(black and silver). Same depths as the am on the east shore. Sorry for the late report.

FISHING REPORT

I am heading up in this neck of the woods this Friday and am looking for some info about what bays/harbors to target browns in. Obviously Egg harbor must yield some success due to the creation of this board. About 10 years ago I fished Garrett Bay one season and had some success with the browns, but they seemed to travel in schools only 2 times during the day and the rest of the day it was a dead zone except for an occassional pike. We could never pattern them where they would provide consistant action throughout the better part of the day.

Me and two other guys whom are very familiar with Lake Superior icefishing are changing it up and heading to this country so any input would be much appreciated. We would be fishing Superior this weekend, but we had a little incident last Saturday on the ice shattering at Saxon Harbor and are a little reluctant on heading back there anytime in the near future. Our incident made regional news and I wouldn't want anyone ever to experience what a bunch of us went through.

Thanks in advance for any information.

saw a guy catch one today looked like a 16 to 18lb fish from where i could see alot of baifish down there right now try using automatic fishermans with 6 to 8 lb test small trebles or #6 octopus hooks with beads or small blades or both and try fishing north of the marina up to the willow tree along that shoreline you can pretty much catch one there almost everyday

Just got back from door county over the weekend and saw a good number of fish jumping in fish creek, balieys harbor, and egg harbor. A huge cold front came through along with alot of rain which made the fishing really difficult. Tried everything, spoons, cranks, spawns, jigging and not even a strike and did not see anyone else have a fish on all weekend. Fishing was tough but great to be up north back to fishing the fox river and milwaukee river. good luck

The reason they pulled the tug back to sturgeon bay is because it sank over the weekend it is setting at bayship waiting to get repaired i think they are still planing on working so just be very careful if you do decide to go out
