Had a half day trip with John yesterday afternoon. Target fish were Northern and bass and we caught some nice ones on spinner baits and miller spoons. The fish we caught were full of mayflies from the hatch the night before. As predicted, there was another big hatch last night. Even with all the natural food, the fish are still biting.

Fair winds and big fish!

Yesterday fishing with John was a mixed bag of LMB, SMB, Northerns and Walleyes. Caught them on cranks and jigs fishing rocks. River is going down and fishing will continue to get better. The weather for the next several days looks like a great time to be on the river.

I had John and LJ out yesterday. It was great day to be on the river and a better day to be fishing. The river is going down fast and exposing the rocks and weed edges. John and LJ caught walleyes, LMB and northerns and got hooked on the Mississippi.

I took Mark and his boys out for a half day trip. We targeted Northern Pike and Bass and were successful. The youngest son caught the biggest fish - a 37" Northern. Other Northern's and Bass were caught as well, using spinner baits. The river is starting to go down providing we don't get too much rain. Predictions are that it will be below flood stage in a few days.

Aaron and his family had a wonderful day on the river. They cruised up to Crater Island, swimming and playing on the beach. They loved the river and are already looking for a date later this summer to schedule another trip.
