Agreed. From the spots on the fin and tail looks like a pretty nice sauger

hey guys quick recap of this weekend...

Friday was a long tough day on the ice.  got out about 6:30 only to find I forgot my motor for the power auger.  luckily, so I thought, I had my hand auger in the car.  drilled one hole with it and the blade broke off.  I guess it was a sign of what to come.  nice guy opened a few hole for me in the bay and caught 2 small perch and a sheepshead.  marked a ton but nothing biting.

Saturday I got out before dawn and drilled 2 holes.  fished from those all day.  caught a nice slab as sun was coming up, a few nice perch, and a monster gill.  bite was steady throughout the day and between 2 of us we brought in over 35 fish.  kept a few for dinner that night.

sunday went back to our "honey hole" and fished from 630-1030 and bite was again rough.  started out with a few small perch and crappie nothing worth keeping and then marked a ton with no takers.

on a side note.  this sheepshead graveyard is getting a little bit annoying.  sunday when we got out there, there must have been 50 on top of the ice in one spot.  I get most people don't like the fish but come on put them back in the water.  its really not going to affect your day overall fishing.

On the ice by 6:45am, fished until 4pm. I nice walleye at 7:15am, another small one at about 9:30. Lots of lookers (Mar-cum) but few takers. Tried clown rappalas, little.cleo's, Lindy jigs with minnows. Had three tip-ups out with 4" suckers that swam all day amd not one flag. Sat east of marker 2 miles est of Garlic Island. Oh yeh, caught a white base that tastes like crap amd did the Christian thing amd gave it back its freedom.
