Does anyone know if I can get across the crack to lake from Asylum with a 4 wheeler or would I be better off using 4 wheeler bridge at Merritt? Thanx

Walked out late this morning and fished till later afternoon. Mainly stayed in the bay in the 7 to 9 ft range. Lots of lookers, managed a couple decent perch. Some real light bites. Waxies on jigs mainly used. Did head out on the lake for awhile in about 14 ft, couldn't get a whole lot going. Not many people out. Ice seemed good other than the sloppy snow on top. Looking forward to driving out again when the ice firms up. Good Fishing All!

10-1230. Perch frenzy at times over gold. Violent jigging and twitching fall got em going. Mostly 5-8" dinks but got 6 keepers. Saw some pretty decent bluegill strangely but had no interest and were just investigating.
Wondering if anyone has been accessing main lake recently out of here. Haven't had a chance to fish out there yet this winter. Just curious to check conditions, any cracks to cross and how landing is holding up. Did get down to Merrit this aft, bridges still in and some vehicles coming off and on.

Fished about 150 yds. out from the lighthouse from 1-4:30pm. Marked maybe a total of 5 fish. Very uninterested. Very lethargic. At about three I drilled another few holes about 30-40 yds. from my flipover. This yielded no fish and no marks. I switched up jigs, spoons, plain hooks....nada. I guess I shouldn't complain. Asylum gets pounded every year.
Remember to wear your creepers. Very slick out there.
Saw one four wheeler out there today with no issues.
