FISHING REPORT

Water back up to 51 degrees as of an hour ago. Hopefully the forecast will hold correct. It will only get better from here. 2 undersized smallies this afternoon dragging hair jigs, both 11 or 12". Not a lot of action, though the water did begin to drop before I left. A dam upstream must have been closed. Still dirty, high and fast but getting more manageable by the day. Again, should only get better.

Out this morning for an hour and a half or so. One 12" walleye dragging tubes, no bass, no other bites. Pretty slow. Sunny sky was about all that was nice out there. Water temp way back down. 46 degrees is all now. 10 degree drop in the last several days. Still very fast and dirty.

What a difference a day makes. Water temp the same right around 54, flows slightly higher than yesterday. Out for an hour and a half, one small rock bass. No other bites. Nothing. Lame.

Out today for about 2 hours, ended up with 17 smallies. All between 10-14" so not a ton in the way of size. Nice to see them becoming more active. Water temp is at about 54

Lots of places to do that, I'll shoot you a message when I have a chance later tonight about it. A little cold for techniques like that but coming quickly...

Was out today for a couple hours, 3 smallies dragging tubes. 12,13 and 16". No big ones but its nice to get a bend in the rod. Water is up a few inches from yesterday, must be the runoff from the south is finally making its way here. Very dirty still and as of an hour ago, 49.8 water temp. Getting there!

Hey Troy is there anywhere a guy can fish smallies around here from shore with a wacky rig?

Thanks.

Out for an hour or so this afternoon on the way home. 48 degrees now, water levels are still high and dirty, not much has changed there. One small smallmouth, about 10". That was it.

Water temps up to 47 today. No fish, high, muddy. Temps are getting close to where the bass will become active. Caught a rod today, if you lost it at some point, you know where I was fishing today lol.

Water up 8-10" from yesterday. 40.5 everywhere I went today. Out for an hour or so only, one 10" smallie on a tube. It'll be better soon

Out today between the rain storms. Water is colder, dirtier and higher. Was marking 39-40 degrees everywhere. No fish, one bump. That was it in an hour and a half. Pretty ugly out there right now.

Out yesterday for a little while. Water is up a little from earlier in the week but still pretty low for this time of year. I found 40-42 degree water temps. Picked up 2 smallies dragging hair jigs. No real size to either of them but they were there. Strange spring with the water so low, the fish are in odd places.

I checked on a few spots and found the water levels to be low and full of debris. Water temps were running in the low to mid 40s. Some good rain should start moving fish to early spring locations.

There are a lot of large line tangles in the water as well already unfortunately. I also caught individuals netting fish in areas where low water levels near two different locks created isolated pools trapping fish. It's quite heinous.

Hopefully the dnr will continue to weed these individuals out.

Hey guys i have a quick question. Ill be in appleton next weekend to take my youngest to the houdini museum etc. Anyways im hoping to have an afternoon to fish. Can anyone tell me where i might be able to soak a minnow or crawler? Is the fox river open to fish eyes this time of year?

Not a local so im running blind. Any info would be great. Thanks in advance.
