Was out with son and granddaughter saturday. Not too cold but very windy.Found protection in a bay out of the s. wind. Caught a few gils and bass and then, surprisingly, a walleye...then another and another. In 7 feet of water. Kept 4 nice eaters out of 6. Lily caught her first walleye. Nice lunch at the waterside grill.

Fun day on the lake with son and granddaughter. Lots of gils and a few crappies. many small bass and a couple perch and a walleye a half inch short of course. Boat traffic not as bad as I expected but bad enough. Water's pretty green but it'll be better in a month or so.

Slow bite but managed a couple nice gills on the north end. Others were out as well, people seemed to agree the action was slow. They preferred orange when they did want to bite. No one had any sort of vehicle on the ice, all walking which is what I'd recommend as the landing is heaved up.
