FISHING REPORT
4/16/15 3:56 PM CST
Just came back from Omro/Eureka shore fishing for a little while. Pretty many people in the parks and by the campground. I didn't get anything and didn't see one person catch a fish. Beautiful morning though.

The whites are very sparadic but a few isolated schools are showing up. Tomorrow and Wednesday should bring more into the system. This spring run isn't going to be as good as last few years. Still no forage in the system so the fish won't be as easy to locate as years passed. A little deeper water next to shallow flats are areas to key on. The walleye are on the way back down but they are hard to find. I've relied on my electronics more this year. See everyone on the water!

All morning went up and down right with nothing to show but once the sun came up and weather became better and of course time to go home about 6pm. These guys decided to give me and a buddy a goodbye gift by bitting flies every cast ..had a good amount for a bit over an hour of sun light there was ..

Sorry, not a report... but can anyone tell me if this section of the Fox, from Eureka to Omro, is good for Largemouth or Smallmouth bass fishing? I haven't seen any reports other than white bass, catfish, and walleye. Thanks for any info and tight lines!

Fish are in there fall pattern still. These are river eyes... Very very sketchy ice but had to try it. Me and buddy two man limit. If you do not have experience on river ice don't do it. Had rope tied to shore and life jackets on.

You might wanna try miller park.... Not a whole lotta water to fish there but usually pretty good around now for perch and crappie. You also have the sewage treatment plant that is good. Go out of town towards winneconne on 116 and turn right by the vet clinic. If you want I can p.m you directions. As for the rest of the river.... been pretty lonely out there but no complaints lol plenty of eyes. Deep slack water is holding fish. Actually just got into the blade bait gig and I've been doing better with blades then jigs. Water temp as of twenty minutes ago was 41. If you can find 10 feet of water or more you'll find fish. Pulling boat out Sunday and focusing on getting the hard water gear in order. Unless I get a 30 plus incher tomOrrow this will be my last report till spring. I'll try to keep posting on poygan and butte des mortes throughout winter. Hope these reports helped a few of you guys this season.Good luck to all and bring on the hard water!!!!!

Can anyone tell me if there are any good panfish spots in the parks this time of the year before the ice sets in?

And yes its decent for boats at all 3 launches....i believe the white bass run is better then the wolf....but the wolf walleye run is better. Throughout the year though this stretch of river is better then the wolf for eyes in my opinion. Then again trolling on the wolf is illegal and not illegal on the fox so maybe thats why i feel the fox is a better eye fishery then the wolf year round. Scroll down the page and look at the pictures and posts on here then compare them to the walleye pics and posts for the year on any of the wolf river pages.
