Big Keith, we fished the mouth of the river in Oshkosh today and had some Whitebass but the east wind had the river pretty backed up. Tomorrow is supposed to be SW so there will be plenty of current. There is a pretty big area to fish on shore from Main St bridge all the way down river past the train bridge. Hope this helps
hey guys im comin up tomorrow with dad and sister. dont have a boat was wondering if their getting anything from shore anywhere? called fox river bait, freemont bait and tackle and wolf river house and all said same slow. any help would be great thanks and good fishin
tell me about it! thought this yr. would be great cause we finally got into red banks. they have always been booked and we have been driving there and paying just to fish off the docks. oh well i haven't seen anything really at all on omro this yr. has there been any fish in the park at all? now we are locked in for the 1st and 3rd week of may up there. its been a weird yr. even here with all the rain and temp. changes fishing has really been tough. thanks again if anything changes please post.

Walleyes are hot....3 to 5 feet of water moderate current on cranks. Water temp was 62 as of hour ago.
Didnt try for whites at all but did see a few caught and heard they were getting them ok up river but not great every day is different but you can catch a few meals if you put in time.
Good luck to those fishing critters tournament this weekend. These fish were caught after work today. Pretty simple pattern.

Just wanted to start by saying I appreciate all the positive feedback I've recieved in the last week or so about my reports. It's kinda nice meeting alot of you guys in person and im surprised how many people follow this thread state wide and even a few outta state guys....
The walleye bite has been good and the water clarity is super clean considering the water is high and all the rain we've got. The marshes upriver are definitely doing there job. Eyes are being caught throughout the river and from day to day it changes on techniques. Last night was tough until 6 then it picked up.
Still not a whitebass run but numbers are being caught hit or miss at best. Will post when or if it gets hot. Right now the wolf is a better option in my opinion....

Fished yesterday and caught twenty five white bass in our first spot. Moved and got nothing really any where else. Females full of eggs and bellys were getting soft. Males were milting. Threw spinners up to bank near submerged Lilly's. I was throwing a mepps spinner and a demon spinner. My son, who out fished me two to one had a panther martin with a trout color blade. Hope this helps some of you. Been a rough start but I think they will really turn on in the next week or so. Good luck.
