FISHING REPORT
9/17/14 5:37 AM CST
Here's a couple from Sunday morning surprisingly no walleye pics in this report. Spent the morning out with my good friend huntthe40. Got chased off butte by the wind but ended up with mixed bag of whites crappie perch and gill. I'll be out this weekend chasing the pros around. I love having a few 20 inch eyes while the pros are having trouble. Lol good luck to all fishing tourney though gonna be a tough one I think.

FISHING REPORT

Went out for a few hours this morning. Walleyes were caught above omro 20 and 23 inches and whites were caught below omro almost to Lake. Fishing is only gonna get better from now till Thanksgiving. Would have liked to have spent more time focusing on eyes but have a busy day ahead of me. Good luck to all!

FISHING REPORT

The whites are starting to make there way back up river. Not like I've been hearing about Rainbow park though. Walleye fishing is ok as well. Alot of the small ones in the river. Been targeting the eyes in shallow rocks just to avoid the whites. Small mouth fishing is good as well. Last weekend I spent alot of time on the water between omro n the dam with success. 2 more weeks and everything will be excellent. Catfish both channel and flats are biting from what I've been hearing as well. I'm at work right now so no pics with this post phone isn't loading them.

Getting a little tougher, but managed to get a bunch of eyes today. A lot of 10 inchers which is good but annoying. Here's a pic of 3 I brought home between 16 and 20 inches. And for all of you guys who don't believe that my reports are fish I'm catching on the river your loss. I post on here and try to help guys out. You don't have to be sending me private messages saying that these fish are lake fish and calling me a liar. Believe what you want your choice but don't get upset with me because you can't catch them on the river. Bago is like shooting eyes in a bathtub anyone can do it. I choose not to waste the time and gas out there to catch the same limit I can catch in my backyard.

FISHING REPORT

Couple I just caught. Went out for about half hour after work. Ended with 3. Fishing directly across the river from my house all three fish came working a steep break from 3 feet to 8. Had 75 for a water temp. We need rain the idiots on puckaway get there way every year with the boards on the Princeton dam so once those go on we lose almost 2 feet of water down River. Good news is it will only be like this for another year or two talked to D.n.r last night on water the dam is getting removed/renovated. Not that I have anything against puckaway, my great grandparents(hollands) owned the good old days when I was a kid, but it will be nice to have normal water levels throughout the year meaning more fish in river.

just an update since alot of people have been asking about the river....eyes are still around starting to slow a little bit and i imagine the next 2 days heat will slow them even more but it should still be decent for a little bit and well worth the time on the water. I talked to 4 fellow lake linkers this weekend so that was kind of nice....just throwing it out there but how many people would be intrested in fishing a small walleye tournament on the river between the lake and dam next june? thinking something friendly maybe 10 or 12 boats just because i dont have any more room to dock any more then that at my house....send me p.m.s or respond on here. just a thought....

Just a follow up to last week's report. Still hammering them. Water is perfect level nice and high for this time of year. These 4 came in about 45 minutes of fishing...fished 3:00 till about 4. Pm for info. Big fish in this picture is about 24 or so. Usually throw them back but mom wanted fresh fish and I had trouble getting the 16 inch eaters tonight.

Fish are still in river and will be till water falls or gets above 78 degrees for more then a couple days these were caught in 3.5 feet of water in an hour and a half last night. Also had a fifth at 24 inches released. I'm out almost every night for a few hours and if I strictly fished eyes I could limit out every night. Weather doesn't effect the fish in the river as much as the lake. All eyes this week have come within a half mile of my dock. But there are fish spread out from the lake all the way to eureka. Think outside the box to catch them. Good luck to all this holiday weekend. P.m me if you want details.
