We use lindy rig 1 1/2oz . With worn caught a bunch of perch and some sucker. With minnow (sell then there to) we got walleyes and a nothern.

I'm thinking of going out either this weekend or next and had a couple of questions. Does the float move? Someone said something about trolling and I am wondering how to troll when the float is stationary (I could just be misunderstanding the nomenclature)? How much is it for overnight fishing and where do you sleep? I could just call the guys, but I was here and figured I'd ask. Tight lines.

My brother and I spent the day on the float on Thursday. We kept about ten perch, two walleye, two northern and four sauger. Even though it rained some and was windy and cold, we still had a good time. Hope go again sometime.

Water temp at Alma was 39 degrees last Friday, the day the float opened.

Caught 5 sauger, biggest one about 17 inches and fat with eggs. Caught all of them trolling floating rapalas on a 3-way rig with a HEAVY egg sinker on the drop line. Ten to 20 feet of water.

MOON PHASE (3%)
Waning Crescent

The float opened last Friday. Fishing's pretty good with walleye, perch and northern giving the most action. The water level is fairly low for this time of year so it's a pretty easy current to fish. I'm not sure on the water temp(I gotta check that) but it's still pretty cold. Things should keep getting better with a little warm up. Jigs and live bait both have been working.

Does the float carry minnows? If not, where would the nearest baitshop be? I checked their website but it doesn't say. I typically fish Clements down in Genoa but have been looking at other places.

Spent the night on the float with a friend looking cats, got a few decent ones through the night. Switched gears as sun came up, we both had limits of NICE gills within an hour. Bass action was slow as a storm front rolled in, still managed a few keepers. Thanks so much to Tim and Jim for the awesome experience on the float.
