The fish are biting. You just have to experiment on places to go and try new spots like under the mill maybe? ;) try it out put some waders on and hang on.

Now that I know this is the Rapids flowage (above the rapids dam) I can put accurate reports on!

Started out launching from the Piles and headed down river. Fished a spot I had heard holds some walleyes during the summer. Tried some flat line trolling with nothing. Went a little further down towards the dam in about 20 fow and jigged around with crawlers and had a slip bobber out with a crawler. Caught all the cats a guy could want. Even got one that was over 25 inches and prob close to ten pounds. Also got one smallie on a crank. After about an hour of chasing cats I packed it in and headed up to the Centralia Flowage. (report on forum)

Went out on the Rapids Flowage to start out the day. Not much going on. Caught a few smallies and a catfish but that was it. The wind was crazy to deal with. Fish came on yellow or green jigs with half a crawler. All fish released...

Check out the Biron flowage reports for pictures and report from later in the day.

FISHING REPORT

Conditions: Cloudy Air Temp: 51° - 55° F
Went out with a buddy for a couple hours yesterday afternoon. Fished mainly for walleyes and hoping to catch everything else. That is exactly what happened. We started catching a couple cats and a couple smallies then got into a few walleyes. Ended the day with about 10 eyes between the two of us and at least that many smallies per guy. Fish came mainly on bright jigs with crawlers and crawfish pattern cranks worked in the deepest part of the channel.

Got a motor for the boat yesterday morning so there should be a lot more reports to come on the Rapids, Nekoosa, Biron, and Galacke park stretches in the near future. As well as some reports on Lake Arrowhead. Tight lines everyone!

Jax, it all depends on what other tournaments or what fishing clubs have going on. Their is like 20 guys that fish this but not all can make it on every Sunday .I get 8 to 13 boats. I like to have at least 10. With 10 ten boats the pay out is $55.00 $30.00 $15.00 plus big bass if I have 10 boats with 25 people for big bass it pays $50.00 . I pay back 100 percent. You can fish as many people in your boat legally, I do this so no one is left out so bring the kids. All legal fish can be weighed inn No muskies or carp. cats. wbbass.
