If anyone is looking to catch some carp, suckers, or catfish the creek before you get to the beans Eddy boat landing has some of each in it. Was down there yesterday and caught 5 carp, 1 red sucker, and a 15" channel catfish.

FISHING REPORT
4/21/14 9:26 AM CST
Conditions: Sunny Air Temp: 56° - 60° F Water Temp: Below 40° F
Water has cleared up over the past week. Temps were 37 degrees and water level is still a little low. Current is still pretty strong but fish are hanging in the predictable eddy's. Most fish were caught sitting on edge of deep holes and dragging up the break. Fished from 1:30 to 6pm, caught about 50 walleyes between the two of us w/out any keepers, not surprised by that. A few fish were caught with just a powerbait grub but most were caught with a jig and minnow.

Has anybody been out? How is the water level? What kind of water temps? Catching anything? Thanks for any info. PM is fine.

I stopped by at noon and the river was completely filled with ice. There were 5 trucks and trailers at the landing. 1 boat was coming in when I was there. They almost didn't make it to the landing. They tossed me a rope to at least get them tied to shore.

Chris is there a lot of crap (ice, logs) floating downstream or is it relatively clear?

FISHING REPORT

Conditions: Partly Sunny Air Temp: 51° - 55° F Water Temp: Below 40° F
Water level was still low but safe enough to get boats in and out. Walleyes were biting in eddy areas with at least 10 FOW in them. Current is too strong out in the middle and fish aren't shallow yet.

Fished Sunday for a few hours and managed a bunch of shorts. Jigged the deeper holes. Tried a few shallow spots with no success. Anyone have a report on water level as of yesterday? The launch was pretty steep Sunday. I would imagine after yesterday and today the water level should be coming up a fair amount. Any tips on catching some larger fish feel free to share. I fish solo and don't keep anything. PM if you like.

FISHING REPORT
4/7/14 1:09 PM CST
Water Temp: Below 40° F
Made it out of Bean's yesterday morning for a few hours. We managed around a dozen or so walleyes before we ran out of minnows and called it quits. Most were Wisconsin River 14 7/8" beauties, but we still managed 3 keepers, biggest 18". No particular color jig was better than the other. Parking lot was getting full when we left. Road is rough and water level is very low, but some good sized boats were launching with little problem. Water temp. was 32 when we started and 33 when we left. All fish were hard yet, no milting males. Lots of ice on the shorelines. It will be a few days yet, before things get rolling.

Good Luck!

Topwater,

How big of a boat do you have? I want to take the new rig out on Thursday and I want to make sure I can get it back out. I have a 17 Foot Pro Guide.

FISHING REPORT

Conditions: Sunny
Managed to get the ole' baoat out of the garage sunday for the first time this year. Went down by chucks and water was way down which seems stange beacause of the nice warm up we've had. Mabey dams farther up stream have not opened yet. Alot of current low water levels with a 36 degree water temp didnt spell a recipe for alot of sucess. If you need a new prop nows the time to take the boat out on this area.

Chucks landing wasn't usable as of Monday. Beans eddy had three trailers parked there. The road in was very slushy and required a four wheel drive. The ramp was extremely low and not usable by a bigger boat if you wanted to get it back out as the drop off at the end of the ramp was extreme.

Does anyone know if the landing is open?
