2cthetruth I sent ya a message dude, as far as a report goes found tons of male walleye last Saturday between beans and town, found gravel in 6-8 fow in the moderate current mid channel and yoyo'd 3/8 oz jigs downriver a good cast. Ticket is just enough weight to drop down to bottom on the fall but hold just off bottom on the lift, hardly feel bottom but you will definitely feel the hit, braid is a must to drive a good hookset with that much line out. Took around 50-60 to get a five fish limit. Same pattern was working in nekoosa the day before, still haven't found any big girls in the off current resting places but at least in mosinee I think a guy should have a good crack at one through the week.

Put in at mr. Beans boat landing and headed down river with the kids for a little boat ride. Ride didn't last long as I had to try a spot. Wound up sitting there all day and got about 30 white bass and a few walleye. Kids were happy, so I was happy. Some of the whitebass were spooing the spoo.

Fished off shore in the beans area last night and caught a lot of dink walleyes (10-14 inches). Even though they were small they were still a lot of fun to catch and it was nice to get out. This weekend should be fantastic so get out and fish!

Braved the rain and cold, but it was worth it. Had to move a lot to find them, but....found them. 5 fow seemed to be the ticket. Caught fish consistently, but they were very finicky. Took two keepers home. All males were spewing spoo...got to clean the boat now Doh!

Anyone no what the water levels are like? Would like to take the boat out but not one to go out if conditions are not safe.

I agree with 2cthetruth. One March on the stretch below the Dells dam I saw two guys barely make it after their boat was flipped by the rolling current. Very scary. Not worth the risk. Fishing will be very tough anyway. I wouldn't go.

Just my humble opinion, but I don't think it would be a wise idea to launch there tomorrow. That water is flowing fast as in over 50,000 cfs! Very dangerous! Big Smile

Just wondering if it's safe to launch off Beans and fish with the high water and dam being open like it is? Is there a lot of stuff floating down? Ice, logs, etc...looking to get out tomorrow and any help would be greatly appreciated? Hoping to get over by sandbanks. Thanks!!

Apologies!!!

Went down two posts before yours and saw the detailed information on landing conditions, and didn't realize that two posts back was also a year old! Devil is in the details.

Again, please accept my apologies. I have deleted my first post.

As for the landings, I can tell you first hand that as of 3-14 both Chucks and Beans were in excellent condition with no ice and moderate water levels. Water levels are currently up approx. 4ft but have not checked landings since this past weekend.
