Here's the pic's of those lakers. Forgot to mention the one had a bunch of baby rock bass in its gut. Brown jig raps? I gotta try em'. Be out chasing em' tomorrow! A pic of my buddy hooked up with a beast! Lost it a few min later. He's caught some big girls and said that was the "One"! Next time. Hopefully tom. Tight lines!

FISHING REPORT
2/27/13 8:01 AM CST
Ice Depth: 10"
Out the last few days. Slow! Out all day Mon. Hooked up once in cisco bay in 70ft. On a jig rap. Then got one hell of a sunburn. Out yesterday for about 3hrs. Dead sea, buddy hooked and lost one. Wind ended up winning. Back home on local lake to finish the day.
Wonder if the guy just deep fries the 3in. perch whole? Either way they are plentyful! Help keep em'check. Too the guy fishing lakers with tip-ups. I put em' out too and see guys do it quite a bit. I am yet to get a laker flag or see anyone else get one. Not that it can't be done, but it's uncommon. Talking to a coulpe of guys that fish lakers without vexilars and they said they just bounce the bait off the bottom and then hold the bait 4-5 ft off bottom. Saw these guy pull lakers up doing this. Hope this helps.

I spent all day in Williams Bay, I got only one Bite and 1 Fish. It was a 10" Perch. It was caught with a jig and minnow combo. I also tried to catch some Laker Trout using a shinner on a tip up, near the bottom. They did not hit it at all.

Fished 7:30 till 11:30. Set up 300 yards west of Lynn pier. Drilled 50ft-90ft. Caugth and missed cisco's 20ft down over 50ft. Put one on a tip up, to no evail. Hooked up with laker in 90ft. Ended up being around 4lbs. Buddy hooked up for a min. after that, but lost her. Plenty on the vex but most were sniffers. Smaller jig raps been what they been hitting for us. Now i have some cisco meat to tip some baits. See if i can't get the big girls to eat before the storm. Keep after em' guy's. Took me three years to get one through the hole. Hooked up dozens of times just never could seal the deal!

Will be heading out Sat. morning and give a report after. For those of you that are afraid of driving on 14" of hard ice that is fine. Less traffic for us guys that don't need to walk. Hope there is something snapping. There isn't much time left.

Nice Fish. Yeah lakers were on fire today. Went one for three on hook ups. Swung and missed twice. Buddy went 0 for 5 on hook ups and swung and missed a few times. For us they wanted smaller baits, hince less hooks holding. Still getting that many hits is worth that many losses to us. Fished 90-100ft. Jig raps were bait of choice today for us. Gonna smoke the 5 lber this weekend! Go good with some bacon wrapped duck!
