Jennifer booked another guide trip with me,Chasing "Muskies" On Friday out on "The Rock"

We launched the boat at 6 am and fished till 11 am. Water temp was 70 when we hit the water. The time we left water temp was only 72.3 Kind of a cool start to the day. Really didn't know what the bite was going to be like with the cold front/ big storms that had pushed through the night before. 20 mins in to the trip i boated a upper 40's muskie on a "Top Water". Jumped around the rest of the morning from spot to spot. We had a few other blow ups on top water & lost 2 nice muskies, Just couldn't  keep them hooked

Good Luck,be safe!

Jeff booked a full day guide trip for 3 people with me today on "The Rock"

We launched the boat at 5:45 am and fished till 1 pm. Water temp was 75.6 in the early morning hours and around 81 when we left the lake. Wind started out blowing straight from the south for the first couple hours. Around 9 am wind shut right off making the lake flat calm.

Anyone looking to book a trip, I have July-12th,13th,16th,17th,18th,19th and a couple other dates end of month.

Garry booked a "Muskie" trip for 2 people, With me this past Thursday!

We launched the boat off Hwy 21 bridge boat launch at 6 am and fished till 1 pm. Gates were wide open at the Petenwell Dam, Night before we had a big storm pass through with a lot of rain and big winds. A lot of trees and debris floating around in the river and out on the main lake.

Water temp was only in the mid 60's in the river. Late morning we ran out on the east side of the lake (Wisconsin River) side. Water temp out there was 70 the entire time.

Only 2 "Toothy Critters" for us on Thursday, Saw a couple others at boat side that wouldn't commit

Targeted main channel on east side from the tube up to Carlson's for walleye. 1/4 ounce jig with half a crawler was the ticket picked up 20+ shorts with the best at 14 with some decent cats mixed in.  Most in 18-20 Fow.  No keepers but promising that the rock may be producing good quantities of legal fish in the future. No trouble on the numbers just the size.  The only troubles are the constant buzzing by jet skis and tube haulers within 30 yards of a clearly anchored boat.  Just don't get it.

The dam hasn't broken, they are releasing water from Friendship Lake because of high water from all the recent storms northeast of the lake, according to Adams County Sheriff Dept.

Kathy and Rob from Chicago Ridge, IL. are staying at Northern Bay for the week and wanted to take their boys Robbie, Donnie, and friend Ricky out on "The Rock" for a morning of fishing. We pulled cranks all morning , starting on the east side out from Dellwood but there were so many weeds that you could not keep the lures clean for very long so we move to Buckhorn Bay. We pulled Shad Raps, Flicker Shads, and Salmo Hornets over 6-15 fow. Ended the day with 3 "keepers", about 30 "shorties", 15 white bass and kept 6, 1 musky, and 1 northern.

Keep a tight line!!!
