Pulled flicker shads around for awhile Sat afternoon between Adams Cty. Park and the island.  1 walleye a little to long, several shorts, couple cats and couple white bass. Flat lines outperformed the boards.

THE MUSKIE ARE BITING.

Hadnt caught a single Muskie all year, countless follows but nothing would strike, apparently they turned on today. Caught 2 muskies today a 36 and 42, also missed one that struck twice on the figure 8 and missed another one that hit my top raider at dusk. 3 if my 4 bites were on a white posidon, it started the day brand new and now has more tooth marks and rips than I can count!

Dave and Dan from Fort Atkinson booked a morning trip for today on "The Rock". We launched from the State Park ramp by Buckhorn Bridge at 7 am. If anyone is wondering about the algae, it has started. We started the morning soaking dead rods and jigging in the timber, but the bite was slow so we trolled the remainder of the morning. When we brought the planer board to the boat you had to scrape the big gobs of algae off or you would have a mess in the boat. A lot of fish on Shad Raps, Flicker Shads, and Hornets. We finished with well over 25 "shorties", 2 "keepers", a bunch of white bass, some crappies, catfish, and sheep's head.

Keep a tight line!!!

Jerry

A little shower came by early and showed a really nice prism.

Could someone please let me know what the water Clarity is like. I will be taking some friends from Milwaukee out tomorrow. We will probably start up by the Petenwell Dam and see if I can get them on some fish before we move out to the lake. I am hoping I can still get a lot of those 14-1/2 fish just to keep them in good spirits till I move out to the lake and try for some keepers.

The "Rock" is Castle Rock. So you are real close because you are fishing Castle Rock or "The Rock"......

Slaying the sheephead and 2 catfish. LOL! I need to find a different spot. Going to try by the dam.

Where is “The Rock.” I’m by Northern Bay resort. Is it near?

A friend and I got out trolling Sunday afternoon and Monday morning. Windy & wave conditions made for a bit of a challenge trolling. Interesting to note 3 Drum hitting our trolling lures (have not had that happen before). Nailed a bunch of short-eyes, 1 legal plus some white bass and one 4lb Catfish. Good to see the white bass again as they have been sparse the past year. All Released for another day. Flicker Shads did the trick this time in 7 to 14 fow.
