Lost & Found
Found a utility/knife tool at the landing on 2/14/23. If you can identify it, I will be happy to return it. My phone number is 7153603210 or leave a message on this site.
Inland Sweep.... The point you are staying at is mostly sandy bottom and then drops off deep. There is more gravel located by the small island to your South. If you scatter tip ups in this area you should have a few flags to chase. Fish shallow during low light and deeper during the day. For crappies fish higher in the water column about 6-8 ft down with rosies. Smaller golden shiners and suckers this time of the year for walleye. I've been using larger fat heads for walleye as well. Hope your kids catch some fish!
Good afternoon everyone
Quick question as I have never ice fished the willow before. Coming up this weekend for a little get away with some friends and the kids. We are staying off good life lane near the dam. We wont be able to travel far with the kids and one friend who recently had surgery, so I am hoping we can throw some tip ups out near the river channel where is comes close to the shore on that point. Assuming maybe walleye and crappie might move through there.
Anyone ever fish that area and have luck? Trying to decide how much gear I really need to bring. No idea what to expect with this system and how far they draw it down.
Otherwise might try to find another lake nearby with little northerns that the kids can have fun chasing flags if anyone would be so kind to provide pointers.
