I'm not sure there has been any definite decision on the dredging yet.

I was out on 21st.Ice is sketchy on shoreline off Eagle but enough ice to stand n fish. Crappie bite is good tho. There was 5 or 6 of us out past dark. I took 7 good craps home. 7 to 9 inches of ice. Ice may be ok for today, but probably not safe tomorrow(22nd). Good luck,be smart,be safe. Carry picks and wear a vest. Gotta love to fish!

I was thinking about doing some ice fishing here this weekend. I'm curious as to how the ice is and if it's advisable to travel with a snowmobile? I've never fished here but looking at a map it looks like its accesable from three launch locations. In looking for some pan fish action so any and all advise would be greatly appreciated. PM welcome and thank you in advance. Vince

Great day out there. Around sixteen inches of ice. Drove out from the dam area launch. No problem driving. As always be careful. Caught crappies and bluegill and some dandies. Dark color jigs were best tipped with a spike or two.
I drove to the section 11 landing today. There were about a dozen vehicles parked at the boat landing. I think everyone was walking out. As far as the open water comments im sure after the rain the flowage rose up considerably causing that. The Baraboo river was way up im sure redstone was also. In the summer it can rise a foot or 2 after a big rain.
thought you were either "blowing smoke" or fell in....that flu is nasty, my wife has it, take care of yourself and get back out there....the damn thing hangs on too, seems like forever.....
have seen a couple reports from a guide that fished there a couple times, didn't do too bad....couple pretty nice ones and the usual 9 inchers....
