Trolling flicker shads produced some fish. Tossing diving cranks baits at fast breaking drop offs worked best.

Stoughton Conservation club released walleye fingrlings last week. The DNR wanted to do a fin clip study; as they feel alot of the walleyes migrate upstream. However they did not line up all the equipment for the proceedure. Volunteers were available to do the clipping. It is probable just as well; as the DNR stated there could be up to 15% mortality with the handling. The last time ,I was out pan fishing was not very good for me. Tried Waubesa also and that was spoty at best; for the time spent on the water. Waubesa is very murky.

I am wondering what people usually catch muskies out on this lake. I also need just to be pointed in the right direction as where to start looking for them.

Great fall day to be on the lake, water temp still above 60 degrees. Steady NE breeze which kept lines moving, which was a good thing. Started off weedline on south side, should have stayed there, tried poles with no results. So went back to first place where I had left marker. The little yellows left me alone today, which gave perch & bluegills a chance. Left at noon with 7 perch nd 3 gills. The key was going light light and lighter with poles and line. Waxies & big reds were the ticket, I was straight lining four foot mico jigging rods right off the bottom. Fish are there you just have to put in your time. Good Luck All

launched 3pm at Fish-Camp Tuesday. Fished for bass from there up to AB bridge. Couple follows only. Fished rock-pile 4-6 pm in 10' of water few small stripers with waxies on bottom.(there were 5 boats when we got to the rockpile, all left within an hour, so i suspect they didn't do much either)... Then from 6-7pm off Colladay point moving from 5' to 15'. Nada. But the weather was great & the 3 of us were happy to be out there.

Hello all. My name is Scott Jorgenson, event coordinator of the UW Fishing Team. We are currently looking for help from community members in the form of boat volunteers for the upcoming Big Ten Tournament that the UW is hosting this year, scheduled for the weekend of September 29 on the Madison Chain. Basically, a boat volunteer would provide supervised use of their boat to take a two-man team from a Big Ten school out fishing for the prefishing day and tournament day, enabling those anglers without boats to participate in the tournament. When I say supervised use, it is similar to an FLW College event, for those who have volunteered for that in the past. That is, you would drive the outboard to the angler's desired location, and they would work the trolling motor once at the spot. It's a great time, and speaking from personal experience, the UW would not have been able to participate in the last three Big Ten Tournaments in Michigan if it weren't for volunteer boaters. If you would possibly like to help out with the event, please email Levi Warner at lwarner@wisc.edu or call him at 920-740-9085 expressing your interest in the tournament. He will then send you via email the two documents we've created explaining the entire tournament in detail. Also, if you know of anyone else who would be interested in helping us out with this, I'd appreciate it if you'd send them our way. Thank you in advance for helping us to make the Big Ten Tournament a success!

Listened to my main weatherman, "Charlie" at 5:30 this morning and decided to keep the boat docked today, no sense in even thinking about getting wet. Yesterday was a usual day on the water for September, a few perch nothing very big, 4 nice gills and a couple of whites. The little yellows (5") are just eating us alive, should have a nice crop of them next year. Doesn't matter where you go there, there. Very few boats on the lake only the die hards left.

rk diver, theres a new treasure in the lake as of last Sunday, a guy had a 25 Johnson hop off his boat in 25 ft. of water. I don't know where, he didn't have gps to mark location. Needless to say he was pretty bummed out.
