To get on Kegonsa, you can go to Williams Point launch or Amundsons Landing. Both allow you to use a 4 wheeler. If you are on foot, you can also go to the state park and walk out from the swim beach or the pet swim beach.
The State Park boat launch is all open water. Same with Fish camp. Both are at the entrance/exit of the yahara, so they are never good options.
You could probably walk out from LaFollette, but not many people fishing over there.
Hit east side of lake from 10 AM to 1:30 PM. Setup in 30 FOW looking a few perch. There were about 10 other folks in general area. We marked fish consistently on bottom but no takers. I missed one strike. Tried spikes and wax worms. From what we could gather, others around us experienced similar results. Ice was 8-9 Inches. There is no snow and creepers are recommended.
Same here on the other side of the lake. Saw indications on vexilar but not a lot biting.
Boat launches are holding up fine, except for Fish camp.
Watch out for the ice boats. Some of them must have been pretty new to the sport. They were everywhere. Had to change our plans to keep from being run over.

I just looked out there. It looks pretty wet, but it doesn't look like its breaking up or anything. Just don't go in at Fish Camp. The Yahara is open, which makes that ice pretty thin.
I think you would be the only human out there. Otherwise, its just full of eagles fighting over whatever was left on the ice from the extended weekend.
