Crappie Bob, yes anglers catch walleyes out here. I catch more in June than I do now, but they're around. I also get at least one or two every year ice fishing for perch out in deep water. The Stoughton Conservation Club stocks them every year in here. No spot seems to be better than any other for walleyes out there, I just seem to catch them randomly wherever I fish. South end of the lake in 10 to 20 feet of water is a good area to try this time of year for gills. Start in the weeds around 10 feet and drift out deeper and you should be able to find a few. There's a big flat that extends out quite a ways on this end of the lake before gradually dropping off deeper. A bonus perch or two might be caught as well while drifting. Hope this helps!
Crappie Bob:
To start, go to D&S Bait,Tackle & Fly Shop's facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/dsbaitandtackle) for the latest fishing report. Of course, he barely ever has anything on Kegonsa.
Find a weed bed and look for bluegill in water 5-ish feet deeper than the edge of that. Sometimes they are also suspended 6-15 feet in deeper water. Look off the two points or around the humps in the middle of the lake. (Hint, don't drive between the white buoys in the middle of the lake if you want to keep your prop. Same with the marked channel if you launch at fishcamp.) Bluegill bight best early morning and right before dusk.
For walleye, troll in front of the state park.

Out Monday afternoon for a while, water temp on the north end was 81.7°F, on the south end it was a little cooler. Found a new "treasure"; a larger metal structure, guessing an old boat hoist. Water clarity poor everywhere I went, so my plan on identifying earlier sonar hits didn't work out. When I got to Fish Camp around 3pm one boat being prepped to go out, I was the first one to park in the lot. When I got done 3.5 hours later a lot more had launched.
Spent 3.5 hours on Kegonsa this morning shooting some videos and doing some more searching. Water clarity better than Monona which was nice to see. What wasn't nice to see was all the weeds/slime/green crap in front of Fish Camp. Trailer loaded down with it, yuk! When I went to leave grabbed one of the weed cleaning brooms and pushed as much crap away from the pier. Helped a little so I went to plan 2...tied off the boat to the pier and ran the trolling motor full bore. Cleaned it out real nice! Hardly anything on the trailer when I loaded the boat. Found some gills (though they looked smaller on the camera) on some structure and marked some schools in 26 FOW suspended off the south end. Found a couple of "objects", no idea yet what they were, assume someone dropped them out there to use as cribs. Water temp at 80.3°F.
Partly Sunny 84°
Water: 80°
Fished from 9 am until 2 pm. I didn't expect much due to my late start, but any fish is better than no fish! Third spot I tried I caught two bluegills. Tried a couple more spots with no luck, then headed over to Williams Point to try and get some yellow bass. Did not find any yellow bass but got a couple smallies and a largemouth. No wind at all on the lake until about 1 pm then it got a bit breezy, which felt great!
LOST. Neighbors 11 yr old son lost his tackle bag at Jaeger Park launch in McFarland. It is a maroon colored fabric shoulder-bag style, with a flap-buckle top. Under the flap are 3 plastic tackle organizers. He is offering a $30 thank you reward for its return.
