Yeah schultzy that was one of the dumber moves i have seen. My buddy and I were out there watching you head right to the crack/heave. We thought for sure you wanted to go swimming not fishing. never a good idea to take the ATV out for the first time when its dark. especially when there is only 4 inches of ice on the lake. as for the report Notta!!! Fished northeast of island from 3 o'clock untill 8 30ish with no flags tight lines and stay safe out there.

Fished out from fish camp tonite.. Took my 4 wheeler out which wasnt the best idea! The ice is real iffy around the island almost lost my wheeler because there are some heaves starting out there so be careful.. Stay away from the island and you will be fine. As for the fishing 2 flags in 3 hours.. Goodluck all and stay safe!

FISHING REPORT

Ice Depth: 5"
Went out last night off of Hickory Point for 3 hours (5-Cool, had one flag but it was just a minnow trip. Ice was a solid 5" close to shore, farther you got out the thinner it was. Our farthest tip up was on 3" of ice (about 150yds out). We were the only people out there at 5 when we got there. About 4 vehicles when we left. People were going farther out than I ventured to go. Going out again tonight somewhere on the lake, haven't decided where yet. Good luck to all.

FISHING REPORT
10/15/13 5:56 AM CST
Conditions: Sunny
Tried for Largemouth yesterday morning but it was slow & cold. Caught only 6; 2 of which were legal. All fish came further out on isolated structure off points or broadbase structure. The usual shoreline spots produced nothing - not even a hit. Decided when I returned to the dock to run the gas out of the motor for the winter - so it looks like I'm done for the year (unless I hookup with someone else). Year summary: A ton of catfish (the DNR needs to up that limit); big walleyes; lots of crappie but spotty and smaller; and a good number of largemouth. No pike, perch, or bluegill worth mentioning. Bullheads aren't worth catching because they're too big and they taste like Puke. And, whatever happened to all the yellow bass that were in this lake? I haven't caught one now in the last 3-4 years Wondering. Time to go thru & check out the ice equipment, I guess, for another winter of countless 16-17 inch walleyes Big Smile

trolled the lake tonight from 5 to 730 ish. caught 8 walleyes 2 crappies 1 perch and lost a big cat right behind the boat. fish are not in the basin at all. all fish hooked were near points or rocky areas around islands. fish are not really schooled up at all either. is just kinda one hear one there. all eyes were short but all were 16 to 17 and a half. perch are dandys but sure don't get many. normally just one or two a night. p.m. me if ever want to join as I normally fish alone. I got all the equipment

I am new to the lake, fished south side a few months ago in a rain storm for a few hours trolling and casting around a few islands, no fiah. Saw tons of pelicans, just looking for basic areas to troll for eyes, any help is appreciated. Keep em tight
