About the holes drilled in the ice for a so called live well had to haul a guy off the lake a couple years ago in the middle of the night after he broke his leg in one of those.

Out here now. Few fisherhomies scattered throughout the flats. Thanks to papawalleye for the shack retrieval today. Allowed this old salt to rest his bones a bit. Ice is pretty good on top. Measured 16" of black. Caught a couple dinkles. Good to be dry. Tight Lines Linkers'.
You know JBONE, drilling a live well on the ice like that is illegal and for good reason..... because of weather like this.. how big do you think that hole got today?enough for a truck tire or ATV tire to go through I'm sure. Very dangerous as I am sure it won't be marked! Use your head out there. I'll be heading out tomorrow to help rescue the ICE TEAM shack that we foolishly left in the middle of the lake. It's not there anymore. Will give ice reports tomorrow a.m. stay dry and tight lines!

No luck today. Had one flag but the fish was just suckin on a fathead and didn’t land it. We had 4 of us with max tip Ups using shiners and flatheads.
Hey guys. Seen enough bad reports about vehicles on the ice. Coming up from Janesville area and wondering if it's okay to drive a quad off Tahoe park over to Grape Island area and South West shoreline? I plan on coming out Saturday afternoon and fishing into the night for walleye. If anyone has any pointers of areas to stay away from or wants to join up let me know. I would greatly appreciate any areas to stay away from. Feel free to p.m. me with any information. Thanks guys
It's nice to know when a vehicle goes thru if it was because of springs, an aerator or some one driving into open water at an inlet. The media does a poor job of clarifYing this and I feel it leads to people not paying attention to the dangers of spring fed lakes and the flow of rivers thru lakes and flowages.
