Caught 12 perch today, nothing big.  had to move south of hickory point, the point was not producing.  bite got better as the am went along and the sun came out.  I think we started and ended too early today.

The problem this time of year is the docks are being removed so launching can be a problem at any site. I launched at the town of Fox Lake launch Sunday and the dock were still in.

Want to take my daughters out perch fishing on Beaver Dam this weekend but don't know the lake all that well.  I know there are several launches and it is a big lake.  Can someone recommend what may be the best launch site to start with?

No action below the dam from 5am till noon except for carp. Fished Randolph for a few hours with nothing but toddler perch around. Crappie numbers must be down in this lake, haven't caught one over 7 inches all year long. Good luck to anyone who decides to head out there tomorrow, might ve been my last time driving out there for the year.

Thanks for the fishing updates fella's.  Now I'm wishing my dad hadn't winterized our boat already.  Guess I'll continue fishing fall river from shore. the bite has been good, very good.  Thanks again for the fishing reports and if somebody needs a fishing buddy that wants to hook up and search for the perch off of hickory just throw me a message or email me at           jglazar86@gmail.com

Sincerely, John G

Fished Hickory point from 2:30 to 5:30 and took home 7 Perch between 10 and 11.5" with a few smaller ones. Like was said before they bite on anything. Can't beat the weather.

Big thanks to Tim Nehls @ Fishtales in Fox Lake.  I stopped in to buy some bait to go to Fox and he told me to go to Beaver Dam instead.  Had a kinda steady stream of perch, the type of live bait really didn't matter.  Fished off Hickory Point 5ish fow.  Thanks again Tim.
