What size shiners are being used to catch keepers? Too big and I get no flags, too small and I gotta weed threw the little ones. Any suggestions?

I lost my tip-ups coming off the ice late last Friday night somewhere near Hickory Point. Tip-ups were in a black bag. If you happened to pick these up I would really appreciate them back. They may not look like much but a few are hand-me-downs from my grandfather that hold a lot of sentimental value. PM or call me (60Cool438-6042. Thank you.

FISHING REPORT
1/11/13 10:47 AM CST
Fished from 4 to 9 last night. Had 6 guys in the group. Caught numerous 12 inch walleyes, one nice one lost at the hole. Time to switch lakes and try for bigger fish. I know they are in there, but it's just not worth our time sorting through all the small fish. Heading north tonight.

Lucky dog!

Hope your shack is blocked up. Once the water freezes on top of the ice, your runners will be frozen in solid... Let me tell you how much is sux chipping them out.

Got out yesterday a total of eleven eyes one being a leagal. My first beaver dam leagal! fished the rest of the day and night we were set up by one. caught the legal at one thirty. We didnt get another flag untill four thirty and then it was on every fifteen minutes we had another flag. Every third one had a fish on the end of it. We gave up to the elements at nine. My dad and i were both soaked to the bone and the wind was cutting right through us! The dogs both started to get cold so we called it quits and headed back satisfied with what we managed! Cant wait to get back out and keep trying!

Bassmaster i would tell you this as i grew up on this lake first if your shack is on the west side of skunk island move it other that i think you'll be fine we shouldn't lose alot of ice as its going to cool down again starting Sat. evening. I would say this though highside is twenty twenty if your nervous follow your instincts and move it closer to shore or pull it better safe than sorry. just my two cents worth.

Out from 330-900 4 flags and only 2 shorts. I have an idea of what I think the pattern is that these walleyes are on. But I have not recently fished my pattern and so I have had limited success. I try to take people fishing that have never caught a walleye through the ice or have had limited success and most of the time they are not willing to put in the effort necessary to be successful most of the time.
