Fished out from Goetz's Hideway bar Saturday and Sunday.  Most tipup holes to the south were 18-20 inches.  Holes in the shack directly out from the bar were 3-10 inches with no indication of depth variance.

Be careful out there.

Was out of Big Rock rd.on Saturday and Sunday. Ice was good, more than 20 inch. for sure. Top of ice not honeycomb anymore but bottom 4-6 inch. wet ice . Auger slower down on those inches. On top of the ice 2-6 inch. of snow. Not visible cracks or open water by the shore but anyways safety first. Saw a lot of sleds and ATVs. No cars or pickups on ice. Heard couple guys fall through last week but think it was in the bay. Should be attentive because snow covers everything.

Saturday. Perfect day for fishing with bad luck.Start 7.30 am in 22 FOW. Most of guys stay in the same range. From 7.30-9 get just 2 bites with 1 miss in the hall. Guys around did lot better . Took my toys an walked deeper. 29 FOW was little better. I used jigging rap with slider. 50/50. Finish the day at 8pm with 8 in the box. No so good results but bad fishing better than good work as we know.

Sunday. Same weather as Saturday.Sunny and no wind. Start at 5.30 in 30 FOW. Same rig. Slow bite all morning . After 8 am little better. Moved to 22 FOW around 10. Get my limit by 1.30 . Bites was better on raps 70/30.

On my way back home stopped by Lime Kiln . From shore ice was in good condition. Meet one guy at the launch. He told me about slow fishing and crowd in the morning. I do not know, believe it or not cause by the Big Rock was not so many people.

So. If you want to go fishing in the next couple days , I think it is possible, but as I said do not forget about safety. Tight lines

By chance, did anyone pickup a clam ice armor jacket off of high Cliff? It fell out of my sled going out. By the time I turned around it was already gone. It has my car keys and other items in it. Please dm me if you found it. Thank you.

Went to see if any perch were about, but saw only whitefish in 20 foot depths, on the camera. This was Sat.AM off the point, not walking off the launch. The whities were their usual selves, sniffing then swimming away. Finally one chased my jigging rap to the bottom then pecked the bait on the tail and I got him. We three, fished with waxies, minnows and heads, and even tried wigglers. The fish that bit was big, but that was the only fish caught. Have seen perch and muskies on the camera before but only whites yesterday.
