DO NOT TRUST THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE!!! Me , my brother, and my dad went there one day and were there for the whole day. We struggled to catch fish, as did everyone on the float. We caught a small catfish and a couple walleye and sauger between 3 of us. As we left, they posted a picture on their Facebook page with 2 guys with their limit of walleyes. The caption was "these guys had a good day today". Those guys in the picture were not on the float that day. Don't trust them with their recent reports

treedangler ... i was there only once but it was just a few weeks ago. nice place. i dont know where you get bait but probably in prairie du chien (maybe cabelas just outside of prairie du chien). anyway .. head north out of prairie du chien on hwy 35 and go to lynxville. not sure of the exit but once you are down at the river at the docking area there is an orange flag you raise. a boat comes and picks you up and takes you up to the float up by the damn. bring bait (minnows) but the guys were mainly using jigs or blades or one eyes. the float guy bill sells lures. i caught fish on jigs with minnows. bill is a guy who will give advice. post a fishing report after your trip. i am thinking of going next week. on facebook hubbards has a page if you do facebook. the pictures of the fish last week were really nice ... lotsa walleye and sauger ..

First timers on Hubbard Float. Having fished at many of the floats I am figuring out that each is a little different in approach. We learned a bunch today and caught a few fish. Sauger and short eyes on the float along with at the wall. A bunch of guys had nice stringers of walleyes. We were newbies so our stringer was much smaller. Stripers here and there and a few flathead catfish. Nice guys on the float. We will be back.

Fished below the dam today and managed almost a two man limit. Slowed down at 11 am. Ice is was safe just make sure you stay away from the wall heading out. Fire tiger one eyes is what worked today

I am also heading over there this weekend. I have heard the water is really high but that the fishing is good.

I guess we will have to see.

Sorry this is a late report. Fished sun. eveing from the boat below the dam. NOTHING! Fished all day Sat. from the float and one sauger for my frie d and I. Saw one fish caught that was 9# from a boater. Tried many different approaches, but could not get a fish. Some other gentlemen caught a few shorts, but otherwise very slow. Good luck fellow anglers!! Fished off the wall this afternoon from about noon till 5 and only 2 perch to show for it. Missed a couple bites also. Saw one northern caught and people walking off with decent numbers of perch that were caught earlier in the day.....guessing the morning is better? Water is way up all the gates are wide open.

I would like to see Hubbard post more reports, whether good or bad. Some of us drive over 100 miles to fish for the day or maybe two. I personally like to try new places but would like honest posts or information before I travel that far. Thank you for your web site and your info.
