Heading up with the young uns. Would like to get the chance to cast from shore with them. Don't care what is biting but would like for them to have a little time to try. Are there any suggestions for locations for kids to try?

Thanks

I just ordered a new lund crossover. We usually go to baileys harbour for vacations. Any suggestions for possible walleye fishing locations north of there? Ant help in pointing me in right direction will be appreciated. Will be there in July .

Bass are still in & out of the spawning area. Yacht Works dock, Anderson Dock (Ephraim), Murphy Park (south of Egg Harbor on G) are likely candidates. People are still wading the back of Rowleys Bay or casting off the rocks at Toft Point.

I went up there two years ago and there were some private marinas I was allowed to fish from. I'm sure you could find plenty if you drove around from bay to bay. I'm wondering if the smallies are spawning still. If not, are they catchable from shore during post-spawn? Marinas?

Thanks

In April your best bet will be the breakwaters probably around Algoma boat launch. The browns are usually in tight around there. Use #7 and #9 black, silver rapalas. They seem to work the best. My dad and I usually troll around there and do quite well. Not too much for open water fishing at that time. The ice might still be around tighter to shore, but good luck. PM me if ya want some more info.

Long time reader, first time poster, great topic, love the site...

Heading to Sturgeon Bay the first weekend of April and want to try some shore fishing. More likely will fish the mornings, looking for areas to go and the best fish to target. Ideally, I would like to find some Trout; but am open to the best bite at that time (and what is legal).

State Park? Sawyer Bay? Bayview? L. Michigan breakwaters?

Thanks for your feedback. Cool
