Tried to get on by Kaminski Park off of County trunk A but open water along shore. Would need a real longgggggg plank to get to solid ice. I guess I'll have to try with my kayak when the ice is all gone.

Went out off Cty A from 11 to 3 and only caught a few crappies the whole time. Set up a couple flags for walleyes but nothing to run after.. Crappies that would hit would hit quick but there were a lot of lookers all throughout the day. Noticed shiners were in schools about 10 feet down as we caught a few of those also, and found that really weird?

Fishing seems to be steady still. Seen many shacks on my way to work this morning one angler dragged his sled all the way to Adams Street launch not sure if he was lost but that area has some really sketchy ice so I hope he made it off the ice alright. Stopped by River's Edge and the action seems to have heated up open water already with great numbers and plenty of keeper walleye on the river open water... No comment on all the bashing...

Fished last night from 6 till 1130. Very slow will little to show for my effort. Best bite was high in the water column. Id reopen a hole with my heel and find fish high. Usually if they were there they would hit my swedish pimple with a minnow immediately. However, once I set up and opened the hole completely with my hand auger they would disappear. Very skiddish. If they came back they would leave as soon as I brought my lure to them. Tried smaller jigs - no luck.

Hey looks like things are going well out there. I havent been out on Lake Delton before (even though I live 15min away)and was wondering where it is best to acces the lake. I checked th DNR site but could not tell where ramps are. It looks like one is at the Wilderness? I know you can get on at the park but I was wondering about driving out. A little help would be appreciated. Also whats up with the depth readings, did the lake get deeper after the washout? I will assume the end up by cty A is different from what the map shows.

The dnr would be happy to have the numbers. Give them a call if you have the time.
