Thanks for the anchor advice guys. I ordered the 25# Richter. Not sure if the 25 is overkill for my 16.5 alumacraft or not, but I didn’t want to be undersized either.

I spent my last day of open water fishing yesterday doing a little jigging on the Fox. In a couple hours we managed to put three walleyes in the boat, working the 11-15' area. Chartreuse 3/8 oz jig with a 3" GULP! minnow was best, with each fish hooked by the treble on the GULP! minnow.
I would like to thank everyone here at Lake-Link for a great year!! The people who come here for information make this site great!! The new friendships I've made here are priceless, and the site admin people do a great job of making coming here enjoyable!! Be safe on the water, have a great holiday season, and I'll see you when the ice goes away in 2019. Capt Jerry.
Take a look at a Richter Anchor. They grab great and if they get stuck you just get over the top of them and the chain slides up a bar along the anchor to be able to pull it out backwards. I have been using them for nearly 20 years and love them.
Hey guys, looking for a bit of advice on an anchor. Specifically for rocky area, such as in the rocky area out in front of the Depere dam. I hate to buy a good anchor, that won’t work well in rocky conditions, or worse yet, getting in snagged and having to cut the rope.
thanks in advance.
Soup, there were a total of 6-7 boats out all day. 3 boats were trolling. Looked like 2 fir walleye and 1 for muskie. Never saw a net fly all day and talking to 2 other boats we were the only ones that landed a walleye with one other boat missing one at landing net.
