Red cloud landing is on the south side of the Somo. Take 86 west out of Tomahawk to the airport, and turn right and follow the airport road all the way down till it turns and you will see the landing. Can't miss it. The airport road is out of town about 3 miles.

I was up river by Red Cloud Landing. It is not uncommon to see some current in the river channel and the ice does not get as thick.

I made it back out there today for a few hour before dark and managed to catch 4 more pike. One was 27" and the other three where short at 19-21". I moved my boards shallower today and it seemed to help. I also caught one hefty perch on a tip up. Approximately 12" long. I did not try jigging for panfish today on Somo.

Thanks Mike

I went out off of Red Cloud and set out boards. Got three pike biggest was 27.00" Slow tough bite today. I did some jigging in 14 to 20 feet of water and found small 4-5 bluegills suspended 5-7 feet under the ice. I thought they were crappies at first until I caught a bunch. No size, and I was surprized to see them suspended like that.

My farther in law and uncle went out on somo yesterday. There was a nice path plowed out form the boat landing. They were fishing in about 12 fow with crappie minnows and waxes. All in all they caught 12 crappies and a few gills. None of them were real big but they had some action. Lots of people out there.

Good luck.
