Lake Keesus, Waukesha County (all postings)

Went out today from about 3:30 till 7 did catch much of anything on the lake until we found a nice honey hole on the north side out of the wind. Caught 10-15 nice keeper gills biggest was 9.5" and had a nice 16in bass. Also got to see a huge 34 " (best guess) northern attacking our gills as we brought them in but wouldn't go for any baits we had. Overall pretty goo day

Fish for gills just to the left of the launch. Use slip bobber rig and waxies about 4-6 ft down.Find the shelf and fish as close to it as possible too far out or in and you get nothing Two guys 25 keepers about 50 0r so made it back to the lake. All fish kept between7-8 inches. Threw back a bunch of 9-10 inchers. Lots of fish in the 6-7 inch range. Good luck and tight lines to all

Fished for panfish all day yesterday. Caught about 20 with 9 being keeper size. All bluegills. Had to cover the whole lake to find them.

Has anyone out here had any luck on some pan fish?

A couple bluegill. Not much action. Great day to be outside tho. Ice should be good at least for another couple weeks with the weather we have been having.....

8 bluegill between 4 and 5 inches. Still plenty of ice out there... might even be good for another 2 weekends.

How's the ice out there? I'm guessing its still over 12 in right?

Bulls is the second bay (going clockwise)to the left of the public launch. If you follow the shore to the left the first bay is Rice. Bulls bay is the larger of the two to the left of the launch.

Couple 6-7 inch bluegil. 2 northerns about 18-22 inches. 1 huge 14 in bullhead. Had no idea they were in the lake!

25 bluegill all between 3 and 7in 1 9 inch crappie 1 24 in northern We threw everything back. Only 1 tip up which resulted in the northern.

was out yesterday from 8-11:30. had 3 tip ups that all took out alot of line but all drops. Caught a few bluegills biggest one about 5 inches.

Got out there by 7am fished till 1pm. Got a 18in pike on a tipup and missed 2 other tipups. Caught 20 bluegill most were too small but a few nice 7in. ones. Threw everything back.

started fishing about 8am had my first flag at 839 am 15 in black bass next flag 930 23 in northern pike at 1039 am 25 in northern pike out of same hole at 1147 different hole my tip up went up it was spinning out of control when i pulled my tip up up i was almost out of line started to pull in and it felt like he got off but the fish was coming in when i pulled it in when it got near the hole i thought he was going to take off but i was able to turn his head and pull her out. she was 26 inches long a keeper yippy supper time .then it took about 20 minutes to wind the line back onto my reel. at 3pm another flag went up hit and miss. thats it for the flags . i was fishing in 8-10 ft. of water about 1 ft. off bottom with large golden shiners. people around me were trying for panfish but not biting stubborn fish they were there but not hungry. more people came out and tip ups were going up all around me in the after noon and 2 permanent ice shacks came out also fishing over buy the BACK BAY BAR
