Was at barge 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. I had no bites but did snag a 24" walleye right by tail. Almost glad it was fouled hooked would have felt bad taking her home.

FISHING REPORT

Conditions: Sunny Air Temp: 86° - 90° F Water Temp: Above 80° F
Man it has been hot, but then so was the fishing last evening Smile Went down below the dam by O'leary's must have been 30 guys there taking bucket loads of Sheephead out, saw some real hogs caught. I mean 5 gallon buckets FULL, tails sticking out the top FULL. No place left there to fish next to the dam so I went downstream a bit and just hammered the gills kept enough for a good meal threw back another 80 to 100 smaller ones. If I didn't hook some grass I had a fish on every cast until the mosquitos chased me out they bit as well as the fish, real bad. Also released 5 or 6 small, small mouths. Small rubber bodied jig tipped with a waxie some of the time. Went through 5 jig bodies from the dang tail grabbers. Kind of funny I didn't catch any sheephead and I didn't see anybody else catch any thing but them? I am sure that there will be a bunch of people fishing for the gill now because when I left had a bunch of the guys that were up by the dam come up to me to see what I was using because they couldn't beleive how many fish I had caught in the short time that I was there. Kind of hard to hide anything when you are right in front of them. The guy that was closest to me said he couldn't take it any more and left, I even offered to give him one of the jigs and waxies. He said nope he didn't want anyone to feel sorry for him Crying OK then!

Tight lines, Wingdam

FISHING REPORT
5/29/13 7:10 AM CST
Conditions: Foggy Air Temp: 71° - 75° F
Went down to O'leary's last evening water is high fished by the upper landing few bites. Went over by the sand point caught half dozen small white bass, bluegill, and a sheephead. Then went over by the dam out of the current caught a couple bigger gills and tied into a nice flathead that ended up spooling me Crying at least I got to see it once before it got into the current.

Later, Wingdam

U can catch them from the rocks next to the dam. I would imagine you could even get a few in the the pond. But my opinion for 3 bux you cant beat fishing the barge pumping one eyes or slow dragging a jig with meat.

With the river up so high is the road to the fishing barge going to be flooded out? Can you still get to the barge if its not and finally does the barge have a phone number? Thanks in advance.
