Quite an eventful evening. First, we were nearly killed by Kyle and his jeep. He had to have been moving about 50 mph, had it sideways and missed our shack by no more than 6 feet. After his initial hot lap, a return to the tavern, (we watched him park so we walked to the bar to deal with him) then a drunken fall in the parking lot, he was able to collect himself enough to get back into the drivers seat and return to the ice for another lap or two of tip-up destruction. For an encore, he had six or eight fisherman on foot, literally running for their lives as he powered back to the bar. He was slick enough to elude the sherrifs department, tonight but his time is short. I have a feeling the DNR may have a little something for him. There are laws regarding vehicle travel and distance between vehicles and shelters. The bartender says he's a regular and like this all the time. So, as a warning to all, if you see a silver Jeep Liberty 127 VSJ on the ice, look out for the idiot.
Besides that...dink gills and one real nice catfish on a jig pole.

Ice thickness was 10" to 12".
Jigged for panfish about 150 yards out in 18 feet of very clear water. No luck on poles. I could see the bottom (nice cabbage) very easily. Marked none on the vex and no bites jigging. Pulled in this Largy on a tip up using a small shiner.
The fellas next to me got two more larger than this in the same hour on the same setup and a decent Northern.
good luck and tight lines!
Went out for a few hours, a few dink gills. I lost a tip up out here that was given to me by a close friend, it's a fire tiger colored beaver dam. If anyone finds it PLEASE PM me, it's really important to me, thank you
I went here once last year and hammered some real big bass in the shallows and under docks
