Ice is going out fast guys. Opener should be a good the way it looks!!!

Any word Sportsman?

The boat landing is still iced up. If it goes out by next weekend we will have the tournament. I will report back on Wednesday or Friday. Bluegill bay boat landing is open.

Anyone still tipup fishing for walleyes at dark out here. I was thinking about going tonight?

If you are willing to fish Lake Mohawksin in Tomahawk, you could stay at the Baits Motel. It is on the water and the Tomahawk boat dealers (Tomahawk motor sports) or the other dealer (whose name escapes me) should have boat rentals. Mohawksin is a WI river flowage and parts of it are considered the WI river (no closed season on most species and trolling allowed) Kurt knows that water well and could guide you too.

The problem im having is finding lodging on the water. I have been lookin on line for different areas. I looked at Petenwell and i cant find a single resort.

Ultimately id like a place on the lake/river boat rental. (mine is in barnes at the moment and will be for some time)

If your looking for a guided trip I guide full time on the wisconsin river and flowages.

Other wise any stretch you go on has great numbers of fish.

Lookin to put together a fishin trip for my son and myself for his HS graduation. Id like to stay on the Wisconsin River. (some stretch or flowage/lake). Does anyone have any ideas where to focus my efforts.

We would be lookin to catch smallmouth walleye, plus panfish of any sort for the mid day bite.

Im open really to any stretch of the wisky, we have never fished it and thats where he wants to go.

Fishing tournament on Lake Wausau on 4-27-13. Went out the past two nights and its been really slow. Not biting like they were a couple weeks ago. Been moving around but haven't been able to really get on the fish. Anyone have pointers or know if the crappies have started biting good yet?
