Is the campground open this year? All or just part of it, anybody been doing any good on fishing?

Fishing tournament on miller dam on 6-15-13. Have been told the ice is out....haven't seen it for myself. Diamond lake is ice free as of Tuesday. That was still being ice-fished as of last Friday.

Is Miller Dam and surrounding lakes ice free?

Went out today and the way the shore lines are might be my last chance, we did ok between 2 of us kept 20, had to hop around lots of holes, with the best being about 5ft, and fish just below the ice, mostly gills with a few crappies one crappie 11", a few trucks on the ice today and hope they got off ok, was pretty bad by boat landings even with wheeler. Time to get my boat ready. Be Safe

Fished here from 8am to 3pm. Lots of lookers but only 6 in the bucket. Still 24 inches of ice but the landings look bad. Still were a few vehicles out on the lake. Lots of people out but not doing much.

DRIVE or WALK ?????

Went out to Miller on Monday to help my buddy get off the ice..When I got there (@ 430) another guy needed a tug to get out of a slush pocket. Ran acrosss the flowage to help my buddy..It was tough sledding no tracks to follow..Just kept it pinned and made it out to him.Once I had a trail to follow it was no problem gettn back..With this wind and snow I would say a shovel, a couple of 5's of sand and a truck with good meats! btw both guys only caught one fish.

how is travel on the lake? lots of slush? was looking to go for a ride today, just woderin if it is worth it.

Cafe Racer look under Lakes in Taylor county right here on lake-link. There is a map of the lake and surrounding roads. The real name for Miller Dam is Chequamegon waters flowage. There are numerous places to access it. Beaver Creek Rd, Cty G and forest rd 1417 on the east side that takes you to the campground. Good luck.

Yes there is parking by the Dam and off of fisherman's loop.

Is there a landing there where I can park and walk out? Based on the reports I've read there's no way my car is going to make it thru the snow. Coming up Saturday for my first time on that lake. Thanks!
