Random Lake, Sheboygan County (all postings)

Fished Thursday morning for panfish and bass, caught just small perch and gills on shore lines. One 15" bass on north west corner using a yellow and black rooster tail. Can't seem to find the crappie, any advice?

Fished Sunday morning. SLOOOOW.

Opening day was a very nice day to be on the water. Air temps in the 60's, light breeze, partly sunny. Water temps ranged from 52 to 58 degrees. We found green weeds on the south end. Water clarity appeared to be better on south end than north end. Had 3 follows on small crankbaits. Had a couple muskies come up and circle our suckers but they didn't take them. I heard of at least one musky that was caught by another boat.

Does anyone have any info on recent water temps?

I busted out the canoe today and made a lap around Random. The dead reeds on the north end are holding a ton of baitfish right now. Bluegills, crappies, minnows, ect. If I were fishing the muskie opener next weekend this is where I would start. Good luck

Save yourself the tresspassing fine, Dont bother with Spring lake. I learned the hard way.

Fishin...., I am pretty sure Spring lake has become private a few years back, not a 100% positive but I'm pretty sure it is. Hope this helps a little

I looked all over lake link trying to find info on spring lake the one just south of random lake, i was wondering if anyone ever fishes it and if there is any areas of the lake to avoid? You can pm me with any info thanks

yeah i know, just had the morning, was more less trying for some panfish.....reports and stocking summarys etc all say there should be a decent population of them in there.

Settin up at 7am and stayin till noon is really the wrong time for eyes. Try settin up at 4pm and stayin till 9pm. You would have a much better chance. Just trying to help.

ice was fine on last friday drove my truck out,, got set up by 7am fished til noonish drilled prob 20 or so holes from 5fow out to 20 and caught several perch, crappie, and gills. used waxies and minnows hoping for a walleye but nothing on minner just panfish...bad news is that all of the panfish caught were 3-4" long, wont be back there for ice fishin,,,,,

How is the ice out there? never fished random through the ice before, looking to get out and do some exploring for walleyes and gills.

Caught two nice walleyes tonight. 21 and 23 inches. Ice was sketchy in some areas. You won't find me driving a 3/4 ton truck out there like some people are doing. NUTS!!!! 3 fow. Large shiner just below ice. Just can't get em on a jig pole for whatever reason. Good luck!

Any ice or fishing reports. May be in the area this weekend thinking about sitting out there if the ice is good.
