FISHING REPORT

Matt, drop me a PM if looking for jigs in this area. A friend of mine makes them of all sizes and I can hook you up with several sizes, reasonably enough, if the need exists. As was said, having a range of sizes/weights is helpful as you will be making frequent changes depending on the river level/fishing location. We got some of our bigger fish on lighter jigs while down river in the slower deeper water on Tuesday, with slightly heavier ones needed in the swifter current further upstream. Sometimes those roles are reversed, depending upon presentation type and river flow. That day(Tuesday), not staying vertical, moving things along, and using a light enough jigs/artificials/cranks to bounce over the snags was important for catching numbers and size.

Mattman. Most of my luck has been on a lead head 1/4 ounce and a ringworm plastic bait. Work it slow and you will pick up fish. Also try 1/8 ounce you will get away with that now since the water isn't moving do fast now. Or just simply split shot hook and minnow .

Any tips on shore fishing by Nekoosa for eyes right now? I'm new to it and just wondering what size sinkers I would need to keep my bait on the bottom or what jigs to put on. Any tips would help a ton! Thanks! Feel free to PM me

I ment to put on Centralia in boat. I fished in boat after 7pm when I was vertical jigging there. Off shore fishing I know you can't vertical jig obviously. First part of day was off shore when I got that bass and other walleyes. At dark I went in boat and vertical jigged.

River report 3-25-15. Water levels remain a good foot low. All gates are now closed. Water temp this morning was back to 37 degrees. We need flow and some warmer temps however some slots are starting to show up. It is close.

Im just getting into walleye fishing. But I do a ton of bass fishing. And I hear a lot of you guys talk about fishing with ring worms. Can you fish these the same as bass worms with a bullet sinker and regular hook. Or is a using it with a jig the best way?

I was out today from 10:30 to 1:30 the water temp started at 37.4 and ended at 38.3. I started out at Browns Creek there was not many fish on the locator there and I only got one bite. Then I moved south to Yellow Banks there was no fish in that area but there were some fish marked. It was very windy at both places. On the way back I stopped at Ten Mile Creek. I missed a fish right away and I ended up with no fish today. I talked to another boat they also had the same luck.

Yup once a year when the run starts .u get people who puff there chest. People who snag there fish n take pics like they caught it.from depere to redwing. Its all the same mentality. For godsake its a spawn where most of the fish is congegated in one area. If u cant catch a fish and need to hire a guide for the spring spawn then fishing is not for u simple as that. For the people that puff there chest. Its not hard to catch shen there all in one area. For my fishing report. Stay away from the mess of crowd. Crappies biting decent ..Smile..hooking into some decent wallys crappie fishing using ultralight tackle as temps are down.as where the fish are there from the damn down past chester creek all the way to pete. There in there fellas..
