I didn't think the WB "run" had started yet... hasn't been warm enough, and the Lilacs sure aren't showing any sign of blooming, or close to blooming! HA!

2 weeks ago when I was up, the WB were staging at the mouth of the river...

It'll be another week or 2 for the big females to head up... hopefully, that's when I'll be up next! Should be fun.

MOON PHASE (14%)
Waning Crescent

I was out today only for a few hours  the wind pick up  making  fishing tuff. I ended up with only 4 white bass all came on flies. I also tried to troll with Husky Jerks with no luck. I think I will skip going up north this weekend and fish the river. With the warmer weather coming in the white bass  run should  be back on. Water temp today was 53 I have not been out for a week I was chasing turkeys but  back then the water temp was  in the 60s. We have thunder and rain  going on right now.

Was out for 4.5 hours today. Started out by park looking for wb. Saw a couple caught from shore, but not many. Lost one jig and headed down river. Ended with 1 wb, 2 cats, and 49 small eyes. Water temployees was only 53 so I'm guessing it could be a few more days before the real run on wb begins?

What I mean by the " other side " is across the river from the park

Solo,

First of all, you do not ID which side of the river you are on so the "other side" can be either side. Secondly, you do not identify where you are, concerning north and south, so again, we have 6-8 miles of river to talk about. Thirdly, in this central area of Wisconsin there are very few large parcels of land owned by a few except for the paper company land. All your questions can be answered precisely by purchasing a plat map book from a bank in Wood, Juneau, and Adams County (approximately $45 each) and you are set to study where you can hunt. You're welcome.
