Headed out with the tribesmen yesterday. Hooked into 3 monster white bass that were each 20inches long. Used deep rapalas and cranked fast, they'll be gone by Sunday. Good luck and good fishin.

WB run is NOT over yet. We caught( 2 guys) between 8 am and 11 am about 150 of them. Most females and some males still milking. There were probably 15 boats and 50 peoples on shore. Most guys w/boats fished on the East side between 1 landing and dam. WB were tight to the shore within 30'.They run in packs. So to find them we had to move. Some times moving 50'up or down made a big different, then we were caching them one after another . We boated about 150 then decided look for crappie and we got about 30 NICE ones( mix w/50 more WB plus 4 cats and 2 smallies). We had to work a little harder on them. Pink 1/32 oz jig w/flat head and 6 #( max!!!) mono, being on the edge of the current was the key. Only 1 was about 10",rest of them were 12" and up. It seemed like everyone had a full cooler ( or more). We started day at 7.30 am and ended 6.30 pm So go there and get THEM Big Smile

My buddy set his phone on top of my vehicle Sunday evening when we were leaving the first boat landing. Pm me if you know about it. There's a reward

Fished all day Sunday just south of the park. in 12 hours i boated over 373 white bass. I have 15 min of video of a fish just about every cast. if that's not thick i don't know what is. 1/8 oz yellow jig with 2.5in gulp minnow. only used about 10 total too. don't waste $$ on live bait.

I doubt they were exaggerating. I was out last week Tuesday when few people were catching numbers of anything and I did extremely well on crappies with Jesse. Before he got out there I caught literally over 50 white bass in a couple hours just trolling in the river by the first launch. I saw other guys catch a few but it boils down to location and presentation. If I had kept trolling the entire day I have no doubt I would have boated 200 wb myself.

"Exaggerating" LOL. I must say that the fishes are everywhere. Depends on the fisherman and his confidence in his lure. I live quite a ways too so a few dozens of fish will not be worth my drive there. With the right bait and technique you will be in business.

I'll second that, fished sat from 8-4 not exactly the primest hours but ended with 53. No real knockout spots just kept moving and picking up 5-6 here and there. Short lined shad raps for a while and caught wb and short eyes everywhere without any real hot spots. Fished from the rock bar up by the island down to maybe 1/2 mile past boat landing. Fished with my wife so we weren't pushing overly hard to load the boat but by all means the fish weren't loaded up by my standards.

One of the problems of LL is very evident right now. Lotsa "exaggerating". I was there Saturday, and while some were catching a few whitebass, they were anything but "thick". Most guys managed a dozen or so in a few hours of fishing.

If you are planning a trip, consider there are people who for whatever reason give much better reports than reality.

The whitebass are in so thick!!! If you wish to catch them, right now is the time!! People are still killing them every day. Caught about 200+ fish easily again Sun evening. Best bait to use in my opinion is plastic. Anything that mimics a minnow. Live bait is good too but when the bite is HOTTTT, just use plastic. 1/8th jig with a gulp minnow is my ticket.
