Just curious is there a particular place or places to fish on this stretch for the white bass and the walleye?. I have only fished here once and the water was a little high and really fast. Seen there are 2 boat landings and landed mine in the smaller of the 2. Caught some short walleyes but in some spots I could not even keep 2 oz. to stay on the bottom. Seems like people just fish everywhere.

Fished off shore today (odd for me) caught 25-30 short eyes couple legal, White bass got thicker and bigger as the day went on. Burnt thru 48 minnows just to get rid of them butt they were slamming orange jigs with green, white or black twister tails. This weekend they will be crazy. Great time to take kids/wife or first timers. Someone has to pass it on why not you. Good Fishing! As always all fish were released.

It was a beautiful day on the river today. There were two Tom Turkeys gobbling a lot this morning on public land. I just waited to hear a shot there was never one. As for fishing, I got one legal walleye, many short ones, and I lost a nice slot fishing at the boat. You can catch as many White Bass as you want. I was getting the bass on a three way with a Rapala.

Water temp this morning is 48 degrees. Only two gates open this morning. Won't be long for the white bass.

Fished Saturday and Sunday this past weekend, the bite was still pretty good even the though the water was higher than last week. We caught over 60 males with some over 15" and 5 slot fish in the mid twenties. Females were still holding eggs, but were getting ready to go.

Tried Plank Hill this morning for walleyes. Pretty slow but did manage 1 slot and a few shorts. Around 11am the white bass started hitting. Threw most back but kept enough for lunch. Black ringworms and white twister tails. Caught maybe 1 fish on live bait. Fun day all around.

Tight Lines!

Hook94 with the water being high and dirty the minnow bite has slowed. Still there but slow, white bass are coming in the lower parts of the river and the only consistent luck was a rattling stick bait that I found but worked painfully slow. Hope that helps Good Fishin'
