MOON PHASE (75%)
Waning Gibbous

Went down for a little shore action today before the dinner festivities tonight. Ring worms early and then switched too bright colored husky jerks. All the fish were tight to the shorelines. Caught about 20 short eyes. One wb, one goat, 4 legals that were released, and a 21 inch spawned out slot.

MOON PHASE (75%)
Waning Gibbous

Pretty slow start to the day yesterday. Did a lot of moving around to find active fish. Once we found them it was lights out. We would catch a bunch of fish in one area and move to another spot with similar structure and catch a few there and find another spot and then come back to the original spot and catch more! Everything was on bright colored plastics. Lots of white bass down river towards Browns Creek. We ended with over 30 short eyes and a bunch of white bass, 4 legal eyes and one nice slot fish that was spawned out. Like Jesse stated in his post, water was still dirty and flowing good. Water temps were hovering between 48 and 50 depending on where you were fishing.

MOON PHASE (75%)
Waning Gibbous

Fished yesterday with a very nice father and son team,  who have booked guide trips with me in the past.

We launched the boat from the treatment plant at 1 pm and fished till just about dark.

Water temp was 47.7 when we hit the water. Late afternoon water temp was 50.2

Fishing was really good! We started fishing live bait ( 1/8th oz jigs tipped with large fatheads) late in the day we switched thing up and pitched plastics for a couple  hours. Water was dirty, bright colored jigs, plastics with scent was a must.

Anyone  looking to get out on the water, give me a call i have a few openings.

Good luck,be safe

MOON PHASE (94%)
Waning Gibbous

CONDITIONS
Raining

AIR TEMP
41° - 45° F

I fished today from 5:30 AM to 11:30 AM from shore off the park.  Gates are open and much water over the spill way.  Island near the dam is under water.  Water level is above the shoreline trees and moving fast.  Today's wind was out of the east at about 5 MPH.  Raining early morning then just cloudy.

I caught 16 Walleyes ranging from 10 inches to 14 7/8.  No eaters for me this time out.  Lost a slot fish at my feet and had a big one on and lost that one.  Don't know what it was, but, a bigger fish.  6:00 AM to 7:30 was good then slowed way down.  Used sinker with floating jig head and minnow.  Chartreuse and orange worked for me.  Tried plastics of different colors and couldn't get a bite.  Saw only one shore fisherman pull up a White Bass.  Other shore fisherman had nothing from what I was seeing.  The fish I caught were tight to shore in slack water just in from the fast current flow.  Fisherman came and gone and many moving around.  Several boats moving around as well.  Carp are in the river as I saw a few.

Now it is time for this old man to hit the bed.  1:30 AM wakeups and on the road at 2:30 are for young people.

Enjoy the time out and watch those rods.

And the best net man/fish photographer award goes to.... Fished with with Jesse from Greenwaterwalleyes last night. Same results. Got a few keepers myself and a bunch of shorts and one fat 22 inch pre spawn female. The fish were holding right tight to the shore. Lots of grass and debris floating around.

Be careful if you're going to fish from shore! It's very difficult to find the edge of the bank. If you go over the edge you'll be swimming.
