Also interesting, of the 7 fish we cut up none had any minnows or any food in them.
Wisc. River - Nekoosa (Walleyes)
46° - 50° F
40° - 45° F
Picked up 18 today. 7 keepers. All males. Nothing over 18 inches. We had luck both drifting and anchoring in the deeper holes inbetween the two landings. Jig color didn’t seem to matter. Yellow, green or pink all took fish. Colder morning was slow, action picked up with the sun. Had a surface temp of 40.5 at 5pm
MOON PHASE (37%)

Finally time to put away the snow shovels, get the kids off the video games, grab granny and go catch some eyes!
Great day...consistent fish most of day...some big some small a few in between. Found them deep shallow and also in between as long as there was some nice rocks to bounce baits off of.
MOON PHASE (26%)
I have had a lot of guys calling and asking about river conditions, water temp, boat launches and how the bite has been this week.
Water levels are still on the low side, things should start to change with warmer temps. They have had 1 gate wide open, with two others a quarter of the way open for most of the week.
Water temp is back on the rise, Yesterday at noon the water temp was 37.7
Boat launch- Everyone still is using the treatment plant launch, Second landing is a mud hole from last snow storm. Need more water to use this launch, very shallow!
Bite has been picking up, few fish are being caught trolling and casting cranks. Most of the fish are being caught throught the river in the deeper holes,Jigs tipped with plastics or minnows have worked the best for us, Few on plain hair jigs.
Anyone looking to book a trip, I have a couple openings the next couple weeks.
Good luck, be safe!
