MOON PHASE (1%)
Waxing Crescent

Swamp people- Sounds like snow total for Nekoosa 19.2" Is what they have been showing on the news.

Fished most of the day on Friday in the rain and before the big storms hit after dark, Water levels were still on the low side in the morning. Mid day they opened up 1 gate wide open, another half open and opened the 3rd gate quarter of the way, late afternoon. Water levels really started to come up good, with a lot of good current. Most of the shore line before dark was covered by water. water temp on Friday was 41 till the big rain hit. Since the big rain on Friday followed by two days of heavy snow the water temp has really dropped and the water levels have remained the same. Water levels are still low, but not as low as what its been for most of the spring. Sounds like few more inches of snow mid week, followed by warmer temps starting this week through the following week.

As of Friday before the snow it would have been very difficult to launch at Chester Creek let alone get to the river.

Without a doubt, snowed in and shallow. Lake level is still almost 3 feet low.

Spent Thursday and Friday navigating the low water conditions found walleyes in deeper water when they were found. Three fellas in boat caught 100 fish a day and kept 8 in two days. Ran out of bait on Thursday. Weather plain sucked on Friday and we canceled Sat because of snow, ice and cold weather.

Drifting worked most of the time but anchoring in the right spot worked when the wind became unmanageable! The males are stacked up waiting on the females. Caught a beauty of a male in the 24 inch range. And one bonus perch to add to bag.

Was on the River Thursday & Friday. Thursday - boated one 17 and one slot, 3 shorts. Friday roughly 25 shorts from 12 to 14 1/2, no keepers.

River was flowing pretty good Friday, trouble shooting into dock by water treatment.

Want to give big THANKS to the local who helped us navigate the river on Thursday.

MOON PHASE (2%)
Waning Crescent

Braved the weather for a couple hours today from shore. First cast yielded a nice 24 incher. After that it was carp after carp snagged.  Water is up just over summer pool and moving fast with one full gate open and another about 3/4 open. Water is like chocolate milk with a lot of debris floating down.
