Blackhawk is a good lake for bass and gills in my mind. Couple things though that come to mind. There is a no wake on the hole lake, so that will make you happy to not have to deal with jet skis.
There is also no size limit on lm bass, I've had the most luck with them on a shartrose booya spinner with painted blades. The lake will be pretty weedy by then, so plan on fishing in heavy weeds and slime. I'll switch to plastic dropshots and wacky worms late summer.
They have an abundance of gills, so definately bring along some pan fishing polls and wax worms and you'll get a kick out of them.
The lake also has a relatively good walley population (I say relatively because I have yet to catch one yet), I have seen and talked to a few guys down there that have good luck trolling and jigging along the steep drops.
If you want more info, let me know, this is by far my favorite lake to fish, just a little to long of a drive.
