MOON PHASE (22%)
Waning Crescent

Fished all day Saturday in 25’ of water. Marked tons of fish. They would fly up to whatever I was showing them- and I tried everything I had from plastics to wigglers to spoons and minnows-only to ignore and swim away. Only managed four perch. When I cut them up for fillets, I open up their stomachs. Absolutely crammed full of fresh water shrimp or whatever those tiny little pinkish red crustaceans are. Noticed them around the hole I caught the nicest perch out of. I’m guessing it belched them up on the way to being topside. Wonder if it’s a big “hatch” or how that works and how long it’ll be before they are hungry again. I’ll probablt try again in a couple of weeks

ICE DEPTH

Pointerfish, I was out therethis past weekend.  The ice is firm with drifted powder snow on top, we drove our vehicles out there with no issues.  Fishing was slow.

My parents bought a place near Elcho this last summer and my family and I will be coming up February 16th. I would like to target pike wondering if I can get a starting point. Thanks

Wondering if I could drive my Jeep out on the lake. Last time I made a trip up this time of year there was a lot of slush out on the lake. Just curious about ice conditions

MOON PHASE (95%)

Was having luck catching decent Perch in about 15 feet of water in the late afternoon hours this past Saturday.  During the day mostly small perch came in to check the bait out.  Nothing real amazing though.  Just having fun relaxing on the ice.

Hey Nallard - I know this is late, but I was up there this past weekend as well and had no problem with my atv.

Thinking about heading to Pelican for a few days to ice fish.  Only have a 4 wheeler for mobility on the ice.  I haven't been there so soon after a snow storm.  How difficult is it to get around the lake on a 4 wheeler with the snow we got last night?

What is the water clarity like on pelican? Wondering if I should bring my camera or not?
