Was up last week trying to fish pelican lake Weather was a big factor as we were blown off lake Monday and Tuesday. The winds were gusting out of the north which made it tough to even fish. By Wednesday we were able to get out on the lake but still had occasional gusts. Fishing for walleyes we were unable to locate them with any regularity We did manage to get a couple of undersized ones I did catch a couple of dandy sized smallies as they were still in shallows The largest being 4.3 smallie. Fishing overall was tough
Water clarity has been better but what really matters is the fish are active! I've been having some great luck with Walleyes and Smallies. Can definetely tell the seasons are coming early this year with how the fish have been lately. You guys should have a blast out there. Good Luck!
