Another cold front on Friday did not help that and lots of food in the lake made the fish less active.Cribs are full of panfish with some holding bass and walleyes muskies are usually close by had 1 eat a rockbass on Friday. The fish I cleaned had insects or 1 inch long perch in them.Toothy
Went out on Saturday with Mark from Toothcritter's Guide Service. Walleyes were negative due to a series of recent cold fronts and plenty of forage in the water. However, we did see them whenever we lowered the camera. We did manage to catch a 14 incher on a slip bobber. We also caught perch, bluegills, rock bass, and smallmouth bass. Had a lot of fun and learned a lot about how to be successful on Pelican Lake. Mark was a wealth of information having fished there for over 25 years. He also charges by the hour at a very reasonable rate making a guide possible for people on a tight budget like myself. I would highly recommend him and wish him much success in his new guide service.
