FYI the game warden was out pulling unmarked crab traps. He had three in his boat when he checked me and was headed to pull some more.

As fare as fishing goes perch and gills are biting but a lot of under sized ones. 20-1 to get any worth eating.

And yes if you troll next year you might even have a chance to catch a muskie on the Dead Sea during the summer months.

Can you troll on Pelican Lake given the proposed amendment to the trolling prohibition? Or is that still in the works?

FISHING REPORT
6/30/14 8:36 PM CST
Conditions: Partly Sunny Air Temp: 76° - 80º F Water Temp: 71° - 75° F
Fished Pelican 6/25 -6/30, had to fight weather, rain and east winds most days. Winds switched to south on 6/29 but just about blew you off the lake.

Panfish are biting in shallow weeds but hard to find any size. Largest perch were caught on minnows. Walleyes and northerns were in 6 - 8 feet of water in and around weeds but did hear of walleyes also being caught on midlake humps and near deep hole off of crescent island. Northerns caught were all decent size with largest being 33 inches.
