Sad to say that this lake has gone downhill in the last few years. Numbers are way down this year. Probably because guys keep so many fish every time they go out. In my opinion it would definitely be a better idea to search for other lakes.
Looking for some info on the landing in musky bay, heading up to take my shack off this weekend i figure most of the snow should be knocked down from the sun this past week just wondering if that landing is holding up.

Fished Youngs Bay and Outlet Bay Saturday for the Fishoree. Plenty of ice. Took most of auger to get through the ice.
There was also a ton of snow on the ice. We got around ok with my 4x4 truck and atv, but hit many spots that were tough to get through. Saw several trucks stuck, especially near the landing in Outlet Bay. It snowed several more inches Saturday night and was blowing considerably when we left Sunday morning.
Fishing was tough. 5 guys fishing all day only caught 4 small perch and had 4 flags. Heard the same complaint from many people at Lakeview Saturday evening.

Fished all day Saturday in 25’ of water. Marked tons of fish. They would fly up to whatever I was showing them- and I tried everything I had from plastics to wigglers to spoons and minnows-only to ignore and swim away. Only managed four perch. When I cut them up for fillets, I open up their stomachs. Absolutely crammed full of fresh water shrimp or whatever those tiny little pinkish red crustaceans are. Noticed them around the hole I caught the nicest perch out of. I’m guessing it belched them up on the way to being topside. Wonder if it’s a big “hatch” or how that works and how long it’ll be before they are hungry again. I’ll probablt try again in a couple of weeks
