Walleye have been great for us. Plenty of keepers and lots of numbers. Green cabbage edges are the key for us.

Ice Depth: 15" Conditions: Cloudy
Drifts up to 18" could get around in my 4 wheel drive f150 which has high clearance but it was very tough. I hit some slushy spots where there was holes drilled.

Planning on fishing here Saturday. Wondering about ice thickness and if I would be safe with a 1500 Silverado. Would probably drive out towards the permanents near North bay from the south landing but possibly try the weedline along Musky bay depending on travel conditions. Feel free to pm me with any info, thanks in advance! Good luck out there everyone!

I would like to come up and get away for a weekend and was wondering what the ice conditions are ? can you drive out with a 4 wheel drive truck ? Any tips on catching some pan fish pm me . Thanks for any help

Looking for some help. I will be fishing the lake for the first time tomorrow. Will be targeting all panfish (mainly perch), walleye, and northern. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to exchange information on other lakes in the area. PM me please! Smile

FISHING REPORT

Ice Depth: 16"
TR7, I heard the same report from someone out over the weekend. Lots of small perch with few decent ones mixed in. Jigging and Tip Downs. I may head out Sunday if this high pressure cell breaks. If I crack the code, I'll let you know.

FISHING REPORT
1/7/15 3:31 AM CST
Ice Depth: 17" Conditions: Cloudy Air Temp: 26° - 30° F
A little late on this report, but was out for most of the day last Saturday the 3rd. Launched at the south shore landing. First time driving a truck out this year and even though the ice reports have been good we still stopped to check the ice on the way out. Found 16"-17" everywhere we drilled.

We fished the mud flats in depths ranging from 15'-22'. Caught about 75 perch throughout the day with only 5 keepers. Well actually only 3 came home. My buddy tossed two fish out the front door of the shack, but forgot there was an open hole behind his flasher. Those two got lucky and are swiming.

It's really no secret that fishing reports on Lake Link have become extremely tight lipped over the years so I'm not expecting much when I ask this question. I fish out here primarily in the summer for musky, but have been out on the hard water the last couple of years looking to catch some perch to bring home and eat. The result is always the same though, small fish. I talk to guys who catch a lot of nice perch on this lake and I'm wondering if someone would be willing to throw a guy a bone and help me find the 10"-12" good eating perch. I've become pretty frustrated to say the least. Again, I understand if you'd rather keep it quiet, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tight Lines!

FISHING REPORT

Successful past few days. A ton of walleye biting both during the day and after dark. Plenty of small ones, but we did manage 5 between 18-22inches in the last two times out. Finding Green weeds were the key for us

Dirt Rd Duramax.... We may laugh, yet we've all been there. Back in November I did that to myself on Rolling Stone. Had to take a zillion break pulling the sled back to shore. Sweaty mess when I was done. Last year, I found myself caught in a fish frenzy and I myself froze to the ice and lost some use of my legs and hands. The only other ones to be dumb enough to fish that cold day, saw me struggle and brought me in their shack to warm up enough to be able to finish my walk back. Humbling moments like that are what make me love ice fishing so much. More than fishing, it's the adventure and harsh elements that stir the soul :-)

FISHING REPORT
12/30/14 9:23 PM CST
Ice Depth: 14" Conditions: Sunny Air Temp: Below 0° F
That awkward moment when your going to leave and your 15 lb LP tank is froze to the ice. First time fishing this lake. Had to walk every where didn't trust the ice enough to drive on yet. Fished muskie bay 12/29 and the bay south west of Antigo island on 12/30 caught 5 some perch between the 2 days I was there. Not sure if I'll come back here. Pretty sure the locals laughed at me the whole time. I don't blame them one bit. Sleds get heavy after a 2 mile walk back to the truck after dark.
