my buddies and I are coming up in 2 weeks and would like catch some fish.
I saw the truck. The week before the last snow I drilled a hole and there was only 6"! most of the lake had 10 plus but there are thinner spots all over. Apparently that guy with the truck found one too. The previous deep snow insulated the ice even though we had some sub zero temps. You are taking a chance driving out there! I won't drive out there, no way! The latest snow is not blowing off either, its a big insulation blanket until something changes.

Drove out with the truck today off the dnr boatlanding on the southside- only 11 inches of ice. Snow was deep and only hit one small pocket of slush ooff the point straight off and a little to the left of the landing. I went out to the main lake toward the middle and a had to drive fast because if I slowed down I would have gotten stuck bad for sure. Drifts and deeper snow. I turned around and fished the bay off the boatlanding for panfish without any luck- not a single bite
