Can anyone tell me the water flow as of today? Don't want to make a 3 hr trip if the water is raging. Thank you.

Conditions: Partly Sunny Air Temp: 56° - 60° F Water Temp: 40° - 45° F
Fished the river today and sorry to say its over, just like that the bigger fish are gone. Lots off small 12-14" males. Not a single female today tho I was getting a few 2 days before. They closed the dam and things were slow until I changed to a orange jig with dark green ringworm. 14 catfish biggest was 22". Did see a few musky caught and one walleye about 17" Little early for crappie so I guess it time for huge flatheads. Try to break that 60# mark this year. Good Fishing. P.S. I love fishing the fox but awfully nice to fish around curious sportsmen/women.

The gates were still open then and raging. We caught both spawned and not spawned out. My opinion I think they will all be spawned out very soon. They have just been coming up in waves this year instead of the normal. Easter sunday was hot and then it got cold and died off. Good Fishing

fished below the dam yesterday, tons of shorts with a few nice females mixed in. Couple cats, no white bass. All fish came by the dam all were in 18-21' of water. Nothing outside of that range except 25" & 26" in the eddie on the right side of the dam. Jig and minnow and ring worms worked well but wolf river rig with floating jigs produced the best. Tried Green, blue, orange, pink and orange worked best. Wold river rig with just a plain hook top producer. Good Fishing!!!

This is a video of a couple of our catches yesterday. They opened all the gates up a bit at about 8 am yesterday morning. Some females had eggs, and some didn't.

Tons of boats out and all the gates were open. Very fast flow today and only one short in 4 hours. Lots of junk in the water IE leaves logs sticks and green goop every time you bring your jig up. Had better days out here. Puke

Found a set of keys at the boat launch on highway 21. I'd like to return them to the owner. If anyone knows someone who lost keys to a Dodge Ram please have them call 6086174532

FISHING REPORT
4/2/15 12:23 PM CST
Conditions: Partly Sunny
Fished all day under the dam. Was nice in the morning, but a south wind picked up toward the after noon and made anchoring and fishing difficult. I mostly used walleye minnow slow across the bottom in 15 to 20 ft of water. Probably caught about 50 short eyes. Managed 1 legal eye in the morning before the wind. Wind died down towards sunset and mixed among the shorts I managed to pick up 2 more legal eyes. Talking with Dusty he says guys are reporting 1 or 2 legals coming in per trip. Surface water temp was 34 to 35 degree. As Jessie reported, still a lot of ice and cold water up on the Pete yet! Good Luck! Smile

Went out at 730 am till 1130am. Very foggy and calm when I got there. Caught 7 shorts an one 16" first 2 hours. Fished in 20 fow. I relocated to the west wall and hooked into a 38" musky. Super excited becouse this was my first ever. That fish fought like a champ and was released within a minute of the catch. I think I was more suprized that I landed it using my walleye setup and 6 lb line. Also, if it matters the walleyes were milking first I saw this year. Stay safe and tight lines
