Fished below the dam yesterday for about an hour and caught three slots still full of eggs. Lots of tiny walleyes chewed the tails off my plastics almost every cast. The video is of a few days from this spring. Good luck to everyone.

Pro, read back a few reports. They are killing them off shore.

Is the river going to be fishable on Saturday? I don't feel like making the drive if the river crazy fast. Also does anyone ever fish the backwaters or anything for largemouth or smallmouth?

Pro_shorline, I fished there a couple weeks ago, only had a couple hours and got skunked. I have had some decent results in the past though, lots of area to explore. Give 007 a shout he has had lots of success in this whole area. Good guy!

Loved the video rock nice job, but a fish fry in the boat? I've seen grease fires in a garage/house, but a boat would take it to a new level.

Are all the chutes still wide open after the past weather we just had? Going to try it out tomorrow and just want to know what to expect. Is there any slack water that a guy can stay anchored on?

Half an hour ago I caught a 21 inch slot that sprayed me with eggs. This wasn't the first time this has happened to me but it was the first time the eggs immediately froze to my coat! The video is from early spring jigging and rigging with a few different folks on the Wisconsin River and Castlerock Lake. WARNING!!! The video will show a large female walleye which was kept by an angler who has lived here and fished these waters for half a century and has now kept a total of 2 walleyes to mount. I think that is fairly reasonable so no need for any jealous comments from the 1% of poor sportsmen. To the other 99% hope you enjoy the video and you may even pick up a couple helpful tips. Good luck to everyone on the water, be safe and lots of good fishing still to come!
