@Lovin Musky...I've been getting pretty consistent cats with small crankbaits near timber close to the deeper channels the last week or so.

Looking for some advice finding those river 'gills. I seem to pull nothing but crappie out of the brush and am pretty novice at river fishing. Anybody have any pointers targeting gills on the river?

love fishin musky

All the spillways are closed and lots of boats on the river today.

I have had a couple gentlemen interested in guided bowfishing trips on Castlerock and Petenwell. If you know anyone who is well rigged and offers this service locally please forward their info to me. Thanks.

All the spillways are open. The river is still very fishable even near the dam.

FISHN2013 They are still catching good numbers of white bass from shore. Sounds like early morning and late evening is best bite. Big Smile

Fished a half day guide trip yesterday afternoon from 4pm till dark with 2 really nice guys from Ill. Water temp was 70 below the dam and in some of the shallow back bays it was 77. Our target was musky last night. Lots of guys off shore. All the way up to the dam on shore catching white bass and a few walleyes. Also saw alot of white bass and catfish being caught from the boats. We ended the night catching 1 pike. We did see 4 muskys. One musky was in the 40 inch range. Talked with 6 other boats out after muskys. 1 had a 45 incher and the other boats saw a couple. Big Smile Big Smile Ps guys if your looking for white bass or cats they are thick in the river.... Good luck be safe and catch lots of fish Big Smile

All spillways are closed including the chute. The water is very calm with a lot of fish still in the river.

Sat and Sun were both great days for us. We were catching a lot of short walleyes and stripers. Had a slot walleye get off at the boat and released a 22" walleye. Released a nice cat too. My wife gave me a fishing lesson both days. It was a great time and I'm ready to do it again. The stiper bite has slowed a lot but there are still enough to keep it very interesting. Big Smile
