rain certainly would help. I have personally seen salmon north of north ave. already. Obviously not a lot of numbers quite yet, but there are some making it up.

we need rain for a big run i think!

As of this writing, the Milwaukee River is as low as I have ever seen it. Does anyone think the Steelhead will be in the river despite the ultra low flow? Will the Salmon make it past North ave?

To check flows, go to www.steelheadsite.com and click the "flow data" tab near the top of the page. Anything greater than about 300 is pretty unfishable (or tough). Depends though on how long ago it has rained and how high the flows were to start. It's supposed to rain all day tomorrow, so this weekend will probably be out.

I haven't seen anyone out there, the water is way too high and fast.

Yup,

Giving it a rest until more come up with rain. Hitting other rivers for walleye now. Good luck all on the steelies.

Where's all the steel?Tried yesterday after work for over an hour and I only caught a 17" smallie, not complaining but I really would have enjoyed some line peeling steel. Is it just me ,or is this spring run suck?
