Getting geared up for the ice season. Got some ice on most of the lake right now, just not safe yet. Soon though. Keep up to date on the ice conditions here or by "liking" our facebook page

Facebook Page

Walleye, Crappie, and Northern fishing should be great again this year. With that, always doing ice fishing packages to the lake for those who are interested.

Check out our updated website for fishing packages. We can handle one angler up to the largest of groups and from those that have their own gear and just want some on ice instruction to others who want everything taken care of. And if you do not see it, we can customize any trip to your liking.

Heading back up to Namekagon for some casting and blastin' in mid October and was hoping to get some direction regarding a walleye or panfish bite. Not looking for specific spots, just recomendations for presentation. Feel free to PM me and thanks for any help.

Fished Saturday after the wet overnight snow. Water was around 60 degrees with wind and occasional rain. Had a nice fish roll over a double 10 early. Nothing on cranks or jerks. Lots of wind. Trees looking nice! Good luck.

Only 2 weeks away from our 2 week stay at the 4 seasons! So excited! Anyone been up recently? Any tips for muskie or walleye?

Fished muskie with my daughter on Saturday as part of Father's Day trip with her. She netted and took picture of a very heavy fish I caught just before we were chased off the lake when a T-storm rolled through (great wings at Pla-Mor). Thanks, Mary!

Took my brother out Saturday for our annual day on Namekagon. Caught 31 northern and two muskie including Jeff's beautiful 44" fish. Wouldn't know what to do this year if we did not have white caps. Smile

Did a weekend trip to Namakagon and had a great time. we caught over 200 bluegills which are just starting to make beds and spawn. all in the 7-9" range. we caught 5 walleye between 19-20", and i caught a 20.75" smallie which i would have mounted but season isnt open yet so she went back what a horse. Fishing was outstanding.

Fished Saturday with a friend in high winds. Water temperature was in the upper 60s. Caught 40+ pike and a 19" walleye pitching jigs with plastic and spinner baits in the weeds. Also did well pulling cranks over emerging weeds late in the day. Enjoyed watching a momma hooded merganser with her brood of little ones.

Fished the opener with a friend. Water was 55 degrees. Weeds are a good two weeks ahead of normal. We worked the weeds with jigs tipped with plastic all day and caught 35+ northern (with another 15+ bite-offs), several jumbo perch and 12" crappie, a few bass and a lone 14.5" walleye. I returned alone on Monday and did more of the same boating 30 pike, several crappie, a 15" smallie and a 19" walleye. Water temp was 56 degrees. For walleye tourney info call the Pioneer Bar at (715) 794-2169. Great Monday night burgers. Try the cheese burger with pepper jack!

Forgot to mention I caught a 14" brown trout on Saturday. This was a surprise. Have any of you caught trout on Namekagon?
