Fished for a few hours this afternoon. Started off catching lots of gills(nothing huge but nice average), 12 FOW. Aggressive, hitting just about anything. Caught most on a pimple tipped with spikes or genz worms tipped with red plastic and a spike.

Moved out into the main basin. Found a bunch of small perch in 14 FOW, then moved into 17 FOW and found some more gills and a few nice crappies. Same presentations.

I was there yesterday and did well on bluegills, crappie and perch. We got two northern. One 28 inches and the other 23. We were fishing the same spot I fished a couple weeks ago on a weed edge. Perch were out in deeper water and so were crappies while gills and northern were found right on the weed edge. No walleye action but very good day on the ice.

Fished Lil Arb last week with my two sons. We had a blast fishing a weed edge in 10ft of water with white flashers and spikes along with pimples and crappie minnows. Caught lots of perch but they ran small on average with the larger fish on the pimple and minnow combo. Nothing on tip ups. Many of the perch were full of black grubs. Generally do better on this lake when the perch move out to the deeper water later in the winter. I personally haven't seen that pattern yet on this lake or any others I have ice fished this year but I believe it will happen soon.

Caught a very nice (40+) muskie on a medium sucker on Sunday. Also raised a few smaller ones casting a large daredevil. A few medium northerns too. Very nice weekend.

Fished from Blue Island Resort to the boat landing, didn't raise a fish. Saw many crappies and a few blue gills caught in the channel that goes into the bay by Blue Island. They were catching them on leaches and slip bobbers. With the air temps as they were, it sure would have felt better fishing for them than throwing the big baits for those elusive muskies.

Fished Little Arb Sunday (late morning/afternoon.) Caught 8 crappies and some perch. Saw 7-8 muskies cruising the shallows. It was neat to see 2 spawning since I have not seen that before. If anybody has any info to share about walleyes on Little Arb please send a message. I am willing to share info on Little Arb and other area lakes.

Fished here today and found perch in 15 -17' of water. One in ten over 8", a minnow on a small jig layed on the bottom was the only way to coax the better fish into bitting. Still caught plenty of throwback that way but would get the occasional 9 - 91/2" fish. One good gill and a decent crappie also.
