Lake Denoon, Waukesha County (all postings)

on at 5am off by 10am with my sons we caught 54 gills and 1st time ever did not throw one back all were 7.5 or better most were 8 and a few at 9 best day out in a while we had a blast couple bass just legal that went back a pike stole my rapala but a good day back on the water after not being able to get out in a couple weeks.

it dosent happen in mad city either. guess again !!!

600 12 in. gills all on topwater. hit it just right.

I fish denoon alot like to see some pics of the 10 " gills or was it metric measure

80 gills at 10" a piece only happens in madison got any pictures next to a ruler. I have fished denoon all my life and 10" gills are there but not that common. 10" gills are pushing almost a pound a fish.

kept 80 gills each about 10", great day, we hit them right as they were spawning

out early am only about 15 gills not the big ones like last time looks like the big ones are done spawning.

Out from 2pm- 4:30 in a kayak (as usual). Worked the west side and north side. Used Daredevil, spinner, and Footloose......Nada..zip... Alot of floating algae. ....Pan fisherman were doing well.

got out early we caught about 40 gills and one bass good day all around. next time ill take rain gear, we got pretty wet but when there biting who cares.

Went out today with the family and did pretty good. We caught about 20 8" keepers. Was a good day got sun burnt.......NEVER GIVE UP.....

another good day son and i out early off by 11 am with about 40 gills most were good size did throw some back . afew small bass casting but a good day.

I sure miss our place on this lake when I was growing up that was directly south of the island Could slam the crappies/gills and bass right off the pier this time of year. Later into summer would slam the big gills in deeper water off the island in 20/25+ feet of water. Haven't fished here since we sold the place back in 94 - I wonder how the fishing compares now to 80's and mid 90's when we lived there.

went out earlier in hopes of getting more crappie only got one but managed 17 nice gills also had a small northern completly engulf my rapala that was a first. it should make it. it swam away. a good day
