Hey guys just want some input about the low water. Do you think it will affect fishing and how? also do you think the levels will be up to normal soon or before opener? any input would be great just dont want this year to suck

McQ actually i think you are right it was GEORGE perry, I don't know what I was thinking. and i think it was actually caught on that crankbait. it was 23.6 or something like that right? maybe 22.5?

If memory serves me correctly, it was george perry who caught the world record bass in georgia and he caught it on a pikie minnow I think.

same 4-6' of depth range doesn't mean 4-6 fow, could be 38 to 44 fow. that guy should thank Buck Perry! awesome fish

i realy doubt you were getting those nice eyes and skies in 4 to 6 foot trolling all i can think of is weeds by the look of the pic your by the rock pile in 18 to 20 foot that i can see!!!!! using big cranks or spinner rigs!!! there is a good spot out there but you need go locators!!! Nice fish there! Thats taking eater size to a whole new level Worried One toxic meal for shure from the mad chain. I just ate a 26' walleye from a madison lake Puke never again. Thats a great day of fishing anywhere, And that 30incher would be going home with me too. for the wall. Congrats.

FISHING REPORT

Fished all last week in Madison and caught about 75 fish, pike, walleye, and muskie. Monday was the best day with 12 pike to 36" 10 walleye included a 30", 26", 25',& 2 24"s also 4 muskie, a 40", 42' and 2 46". Caught all the fish in the same 4'-6' of depth range trolling spoonplugs and other crankbaits.

This spot is not so secret anymore...fished yesterday morning and saw 5 boats fish this spot. It was ugly..

Nice catch! I know where your secret spot is, only because I have fished every inch of that lake(s). Don't give up your "Huney Hole". But as a side note, I'd take your pictures a lil' up the shoreline so people don't recognize the spot. And that is a nice smallie, the third best I've seen pulled out of that Dane County Lake. Of course, the first best was mine-pulled out of MY "Huney Hole" - opposite side of the lake as your buddys. As soon as I find the pic, I'll send it to you. Cheers! Cool

went out with a buddy yesterday from 5:00 tell 6:30. caught six bass two nice 18 inchers. The other fish were 12-14 inchers. Here's i picture of the two 18. Smile

Nice smallie!!!! I know exactly where you are fishing...and I'm glad the tradition of kids fishing that spot continues...I used to ride my bike all over the area (back in the 80's) to fish with my buddy who is now a top muskie pro. Keep on fishing my friend!

that's a nice spot..I never pull anything larger than 16" out of there though. and never a smallie..I might have to look at it more thoroughly, thanks kids!
